By the way I did it and here's my little recap.

Hey I want to share this with everyone who couldn't go. I went to the Spurs 5K and it turned out being very fun. I was especially impressed that I did that well and made it all the way in 52 minutes after not having done any training (I even ran a lot which I don't usually do at these things :lol) and taking super long water breaks at the Water stop to see all of our guys and new guys :lol: :lol: :lol: . Here are some of the pics that I took.

Sean Elliott was standing right next to me this morning before the race. Unfortunately this guy had to budge his way into my good picture.

Sean was joking that how it would be bad if the gun didn't go off and what do you know he couldn't get it to work. Someone had to fix it and teach him how to do it. He got it on the second try :lol: .

First watering station I came up to at the mile mark and guess who was there? Pop, Timmy, and sad to say but I don't remember which other new Spurs there were.

What do you know but not only did Timmy give me a cup of water, but he signed my little number on the front of my shirt. The funny thing is he was getting so many requests for signatures and pictures instead of water that he had to finally set all the water cups down and said I guess nobody wants water.

Near the last water break I ran into Finley and some of the other new Spurs. The funny thing was Finley had that big loudspeaker saying that he was giving out his Special gatorade. Sad to see nobody was taking it from him but they were taking gatorade from the new guys. I finally decided to take his Special gatorade that he was giving out. I asked what was in his special gatorade but he wouldn't tell me :lol.
I did see most of the Spurs (including RJ) there cheering everyone on. The only two that I didn't see when the race was finished was Manu and Tony. I still never did see Tony there at the race but I did see Manu after hanging out on stage with Sean Elliott. He was the guy to take pictures with all the winners.

Sean and Manu were joking around a lot. There was a banana peel on stage that was halfway eaten and Sean said it was probably Pop's left over and someone was aimed to get it :lol.

Manu was really cold standing up there and Sean joked that he needed someone warm standing up there with him. Manu got a good laugh out of that :lol: . There was a little incident though where some lady was coming up to take a pic with him and she tripped and fell with a baby in her hands. Manu tried to help them up. Anyways it was a really fun time and great to see all the guys there too. I still wish I wish Tony was there.

Damn, that was cool of Tim and the guys to come out. Is anyone really surprised Parker didn't show?

Watch the video before you call someone out.

You have to love Elliott, 8 nearly 9 years after retiring and still helping out with the Spurs.
