WOW! This movie is freaking awesome! I saw it Saturday night with friends and we are still talking about it. This movie keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time. Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx bring it as usual.


Go see this movie. This movie does for action thrillers what The Hangover did for comedies this year.

Awesome movie. Reminds me of "Taken". Butler and Fox were great.

I feel sorry for you if you watch your movies based on what those failed script writers over at RT thinks.

I base my decision to see a movie at the theaters based on RT and word of mouth.

If RT's critic percentage sucks, then I'm most likely not going to waste full price on the movie.

I was entertained up until the lame ass ending. I just saw that movie that you are talking about with Hopkins but can't remember the name....that was a good movie IMHO

Just finished watching, awesome movie!!
Maybe the ending could be better, but I guess that's because we all wanted him to blow up the city hall. :lol
Or him getting shot by Foxx. Or both. :lol

I doubt it. But that was my thought too, as smart as he was, he didn't anticipate the possibility of getting found out.

That's especially what I see that as an impossibility. I figure he had to have some kind of a "trip" device so he knew someone else was there.

This movie was a good thriller. I was rooting for Gerard Butler the whole way. The ending did suck a little but I liked how Gerard Butler's character accepted his fate and didn't fight it.

It was an awesome movie despite being pretty damn unrealistic.

I love a bad ass revenge movie, and the way the movie develops so quickly in the beginning makes it really exciting. Sometimes you just have to accept a movie for what it is and be entertained. And as stated, the ending does let you down a little bit compared to the rest, but a fun movie overall. I must say that when I saw previews way before it came out, I thought the whole idea was stupid and never imagined myself seeing it, but definitely no regrets.

Well I am too, and probably many others who enjoyed this, but I can enjoy a movie like this from time to time if it's entertaining.

Just saw this movie, and I am disappointed.


Spoilers...















I wanted Butler to blow up city hall/the Mayor in the worst way. I wanted to see him complete his mission. I wanted to see the city of Philadelphia brought to their knees. All that anticipation only to end in such a shitty way. :td:td

This movie sucked some serious balls.

Gargled 'em something fierce. I watched it and couldn't keep from laughing at all their "plot twists", specifically the plot as it related to the murderers at the beginning of the film. So fake... Seeing Regina King in a real role elicited a few chuckles as well. I kept anticipating something stupid befalling her ala every other movie she's been in.

It was unrealistic but it had a good message to it. Jamie Foxx's character was changed by Gerard Butler's character at the end. He wasn't going to make deals with murderers anymore. I didn't think it was the best picture of 2009 but it was entertaining. I liked the ending. Gerard's character accepted his fate like a man and didn't fight it.
