I probably had a 24 inch vertical at age 13 and I'm nowhere near an NBA athlete. His vertical seems to be about 12 inches :lol

But seriously, most athletes aren't 6'6 but usually they have great hops at 13.

he looks like hes grown into his body pretty well, most guys that tall at that age are extremely awkward and uncoordinated.

Yeah most guys that tall at that age can barely walk without tripping over themselves, much less play basketball.

:lol @ some loser who hasn't accomplished shit in his life trying to criticize a 13 year old basketball phenom. Son you need to shut your mouth. When you were 13 you probably didn't even have any pubes yet. While this kid at 13 has already accomplished more that you ever will.

Actually, that mix shower hooks with both hands, so the kids got one up on most NBA players.

Memo to most NBA players - LEARN TO USE BOTH HANDS! :lol

That's what the NBA is doing to kids minds nowadays. All they see is dunks. No fundamentals.

You believed the Bynum hype.

There is a difference between hype and reality. This is a one minute mix tape on a 13 year old.

Reality is Bynum averaged 14 and 8 last year...in the NBA. And he's continuing that upward trend by averaging 20 points in the pre-season (#3 in the NBA, only behind Melo and Durant). That is not hype but reality.

You can say Bynum is injury prone and you may or may not be right. However; to say Bynum is hype, that's just crazy or denial.

With no Yao this year, in all likelihood, Bynum's stats are going to put him into the All-Star game. How is that hype?

Bynum averaging 20/10 is a scary thought for the rest of the nba

Shoot, 20/10 would be scary even for Laker fans; that may be a stretch even for the most avid Bynum fans.

But, a more reasonable number like 16/8 would still have Bynum living up to most of the Hype I've read other than that "Andrew Wilt-Duncan-Jabbar Bynum" one.

And on a sidenote, I ain't getting on that little 13-year old kid, being 6'6 is impressive. But am I the only one seeing his lack of hops? If he turns out to be a 7 footer, his hops are fine. But if he stays a skinny 6'6- 6'8 with that same jumping abillity, his hops would keep him out of the NBA.

Hops are usually about genetics just like height is. You either have it or you don't, you usually don't see a vast improvement in hops, even with training.

Yep. You're the only one.
