Wade Phillips is not an option.

Bill Cowher

John Gruden

Mike Shanahan

Jason Garrett ----> not a real option either

other...?

If I could pick, I would choose Bill Cowher. He would bring a sorely needed dose of discipline.

Not that he would go to Dallas. :depressed

:lol

Cowher is great.

But with the way the team is currently built, I think Shanahan would be the man. He would turn the trio of Barber, Jones, and Choice into a complete three-headed monster. They would all have nearly 1000 yards.

as a skins fan, i would not be happy to see cowher go there.

You don't have to fear then, Cowher would be great, but no way going to happen IMO.
I say Chucky in Dallas may be the fit that Jerry is looking for. You know Jerry, he has to be looking at the marketing side of this too. Chucky dolls in Cowboys gear in all the stores.

Jerry Jones should do it, so he could once and for all learn the meaning of EPIC FAIL.

I'm torn between Shanahan and Cowher.

Cowher brings the type of discipline the Cowboys need...but like Stretch said, Shanahan could really do a lot with these type of players.

My only problem with Shanahan is that he looked really worn out and uninterested in coaching towards the end of his tenure in Denver.

Shanny would do wonders for the O-line. The line is way too huge to play ZBS, though. That's most likely what he would implicate.

Jerry Jones will hire a HC he can walk all over and order around.

Rome is better. I'm disappointed you would even listen to someone else Jim Rome troll(Which is yours) is disappointed.

Actually I think they need to find the next Mike Smith (Atlanta coach), a career successful NFL assistant who learned from great head coaches and is ready to make the jump. The Broncos hit it with Josh McDaniels the Boys need something similar.

I'm actually a fan of the guy. What was his take?

This.

Dallas' next coach will be a young coordinator, or another Wade Phillips-esque retread.

Cower if he would come, Shanahan next, come to think of it I would take anyone other than Phillips, oh yeah and get Garrett out of there. The play calling for this team is terrible.

Jone's ego will be a problem in hiring a marquee coach. He wants that marquee coach but wants to control him. I was surprised the tuna even went there

Basically Jerry Jones isn't going to hire anybody who needs complete control to turn a team around, because Jerry thinks he needs to be in the middle of everything. Which is why he'll hire Wade Phillips over someone competent enough to do the job.

That's what I thought. Jones wants to hire a coordinator-like type of coach. Someone to call nice plays, make the cowboys relevant and him to get the glory:lol

There's always Jeff Fisher. As bad as the team has played, I don't know if he survives till next season. Then again, he's Jeff Fisher, so I'm sure he has a bit of leeway.

Fisher might need a change of scenery though.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Fisher out of a job either. But he falls into that same group with Cowher, Shanahan, Gruden, i.e. guys who don't have to settle for a job putting up with Jerry Jones' bullshit.

Nope. Jerry would over control a young coach. I like the concept, but Jerry would kill it on the vine.
