I love me some Church's Chicken.

Especially with jalapeņos. That is some good shit right there. I don't know why but my wife hates it. I guess she prefers rabbit food.
I remember when I lived in NM, my dad would drive all the way to fuckin Muleshoe, TX to get it.
What are your opinions of it?

I think their chicken is as average as most other places, but their biscuits are the shit.

Have you had the chicken with jalapeņos? really brings out the flavor.
And I agree the biscuits are awesome.

My wife is a health nut. I have to sneak fried chicken, which I do... often.
I make some mean Korean Grilled chicken though.

:lol Exactly!!!
It really sucks for me that she is such a health freak when it comes to greasy foods that I really enjoy eating mass quantities of.
On the bright side, she did get me season tickets which gives me a reason to get drunk every couple of days.

I like Popeye's best but yeah those Church's biscuits are great. But now I'm going to KFC's grilled chicken, which I haven't tried yet, since I've been told to lay off the fried foods.

meh, church's is pretty third rate in my opinion. popeyes owns easily and i'd even rate culvers chicken above it. fried chiicken in general, along with tenders, are much tastier with jalapenos. as far as chicken sandwiches, chick-fil-a every day of the week. but that being said, i'm a sucker for fried chicken so that shit sounds good right now.

I used to hate Church's but I think it's because the one by me never cooked the chicken all the way through. I have had it since though and yes it is the shizzle with jalapenos. Bill Millers kicks ace

ditto. Bill Millers fried chicken is better than their BBQ. Their fries suck though.

Thats what turned me off to Church's. It's always undercooked.
Popeyes > KFC > Church's > Bill Millers
It seems like we've done this before.

Churches has good biscuits. Popeyes is good. KFC should be banned. And for those of you that have tasted Golden Bird Chicken, then you'd know immediately it gets no better.
I've eaten there like twice. You could see the oil once you bite into the chicken.

Earl Abel's fried chicken FTW
church's fried-keeping san antonio obese for generations to come.
Popeyes sucks.

Seems we must agree to disagree. Agree?
Actually when I go to Popeyes, I usually don't get the fried chicken, I get the chicken strips. Their strips and fries are awesome (especially with the cream gravy), and I'd much rather eat that than any of the aforementioned fried chickens.
On another note, this Kentucky Grilled Chicken thing is an abomination and must be dealt with.

Golden Bird? Yeah, they are very inconsistent. There was one in Compton years ago that nailed it, then there were those that made chicken like the one you had.
It was good, just way too greasy.
I probably most prefer Jim Dandy's chicken which is down the street.

:lmao
Jim Dandy is straight old school.
Did there used to be more or something? The only one I know is the onw down here by my house. I just don't like crowwing Imperial and Vermont cause the Hoovers always seems to come through there.

I'm not sure how I feel about this whole fried chicken thing. I haven't had fried chicken wonderful enough to make me a fan. But I haven't tried Bill Miller's so there may still be a chance.

Jim Dandy use to be on every corner in the hoods of LA. There are still a few left.
I've never seen one besides the one out here by my house. There good and the Spicy chicken is actually pretty spicy. Sometimes it can be a little cry though.

If you live in LA and aren't eating at Roscoe's, you fail at life.
I used to like Bill's Chicken in Pasadena when I was a kid, but then they moved a few blocks over and started to suck. Don't know if they even exist anymore.

Popeye's red beans and rice along w/ their Mardi Gras mustard for the strips FTMFW!
Also, as mono said, Chicken express strips w/ their Serendipity salt, okra, corn nuggets, etc hold a close second.
...but nothing tops red beans and rice. :hungry:

That place is awesome, their chicken is great and not greasy at all. And I'm pretty sure they put crack in their tea. I'm addicted to that shit.

I couldn't stand Church's as a kid, because it was so greasy, that and it's the only chicken my mom would buy because KFC and Popeyes were too expensive.
Now that I have to pay for my own shit, I really like it, especially the price.
In terms of taste I'd say:
1) Popeyes Spicy chicken
2) KFC original recipe
3) Church's w/Jalapenos
4) Bush's Chicken (franchise) with hot sauce
Distant 5th) Bill Millers
