Man Charged After Making Coffee Naked

Will Thomas
By WILL THOMAS/myfoxdc
SPRINGFIELD, Va. - A Springfield, Virginia man is facing an indecent exposure charge after a passerby spotted the man naked in his kitchen and reported it to police.

Eric Williamson, 29, is a commercial diver who grew up in Hawaii and rents home with several co-workers. Williamson told FOX 5's Will Thomas his roommates were not home and he walked into the kitchen to make coffee about 5:30 a.m. Monday.

"Yes, I wasn't wearing any clothes but I was alone, in my own home and just got out of bed. It was dark and I had no idea anyone was outside looking in at me," Williamson said.

The complaint came from an unidentified woman who was walking with a 7-year-old boy. A Fairfax County Police spokesman said officers arrested Williamson for indecent exposure because they believe he wanted to be seen naked by the public.

Officer Bud Walker said officers also consulted the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office and they were given the green light to proceed with the charge.

Williamson, who is father of a 5-year old girl, said he feels like the victim.

"I am a loving dad. Any of my friends and anyone knows that and there is not a chance on this planet I would ever, ever, ever do anything like that to a kid," he said.

Williamson is meeting with a lawyer to fight the charge and may attempt to seek damages from Fairfax County Police. If convicted on the misdemeanor charge, he would face up to one year in jail and a $2,000 fine.

Interesting case. I'd say he's in his own home, he can do what he likes. I mean, it's not like he was pressed up against the glass.

Agree. Unless the actual owner of the house tells him otherwise.

He was walking with a woman, probably his mother. Maybe she's just a morning person?

Ridiculous.

The way this country treats nudity is absolutely insane.

I'm sure that 7 year old will be SCARRED FOR LIFE because he saw another man naked.

Think of the trauma he must be going through!

This sounds like complete BS. I'd have to see the layout of the house, because there are rarely windows in a house that allow one to see another naked. Maybe above the waist, but surely not able to see wang.

I'd be willing to bet the little boy didn't even see the man. The lady is probably just a busy body, saw the dude, and wanted something to bitch about.

I was wondering the same thing, but some places do have patio doors near the dining area. Maybe it can be seen from the sidewalk.

I was also wondering if they were in his property rather than the walk way. I have a patio door right next to my kitchen, but it leads to my back yard with a six foot fence. Someone would have to be in my back yard, uninvited! Hell, I walk out nude into my yard at times for sun bathing.

Just saw it on the news. Sidewalk is a good 50 feet from the residence. Some bushes in front of the window but they look dead and thin. Window is large enough to see his wang, but it looks like you wouldn't see anything unless you were right up against the window.

This lady is just a prude bitch.

So she's trespassing at an hour when most people are NOT up and about outside - and he's the one who gets arrested? Sounds like the woman has a real problem, not the naked guy.

She has a problem, but the authorities are exacerbating the problem by arresting this guy and then threatening to prosecute him.

Betting there's a connection with this lady and the police department.

Or a city official.

What was she doing spying on the guy anyway?

I wonder if there is a neighborhood feud, or something, and she was fishing for something on the guy... Found it off huh...

Isn't VA one of those states you can shoot someone who's on your yard and call it self defense?:lol

Now think about it one second, the man takes out a gun, shots the woman, claims he thought she was a threat (5:00am remember?) and I bet there are no charges. Only in America:toast

There isn't a single state where you can shoot someone for being on your yard.

If you have a no trespassing sign, then perhaps if the situation calls for it, but not even in Texas can you do that.

What I meant was that it was so early in the morning and still reasonably dark, he could argue it was maybe a threat. With a good lawyer he could get away with it. Especially in Texas.

Texas Penal Code states:

9.41. PROTECTION OF ONE'S OWN PROPERTY.

(a) A person in lawful possession of land or tangible, movable property isjustified in using force against another when and to the degree theactor reasonably believes the force is immediately necessary to

prevent or terminate the other's trespass on the land or unlawful interference with the property.

(b) A person unlawfully dispossessed of land or tangible, movable property by another is justified in using force against the other when and to the degree the actor reasonably believes the forceis immediately necessary to reenter the land or recover the property if the actor uses the force immediately or in fresh pursuit after the dispossession and:

(1) the actor reasonably believes the other had no claim of right when he dispossessed the actor; or

(2) the other accomplished the dispossession by using force, threat, or fraud against the actor.

9.42 DEADLY FORCE TO PROTECT PROPERTY.

(a) A person is justified in using deadly force against another to protect land or tangible, movable property:
(1) if he would be justified in using force against the other under Section 9.41; and
(2) when and to the degree he reasonably believes the deadly force is immediately necessary:
(A) to prevent the other's imminent commission of arson, burglary, robbery, aggravated robbery, theft during the nighttime, or criminal mischief during the nighttime; or
(B) to prevent the other who is fleeing immediately after committing burglary, robbery, aggravated robbery, or theft during the nighttime from escaping with the
property; and
(3) he reasonably believes that:
(A) the land or property cannot be protected or recovered by any other means; or
(B) the use of force other than deadly force to protect or recover the land or property would expose the actor or another to a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury.

My point was that it seems less offensive to shoot someone than hang in the kitchen naked.

You certainly can't do whatever you want to do just because you're in your home. Your "pressed up against the glass" example illustrates that point.

I wouldn't call this interesting. Strange, yes. From what I understand, the woman and the child had to have trespassed in order to get a view of him naked. At 5:30 in the morning, when it's dark. WTF were they doing?

This kind of reminds me of another case recently in the news. You know, the one about the woman who was broadcasting porn to an adjacent school, through open windows in her house.

I used to live at a place where the backyard was adjacent to a football field to a middle school. It was on the 2nd floor and I'd be able to see the field quite easily. I'd bone, but I'd always keep the blinds closed (they were the kind that went from the sides to the center) but there was always a small gap between the 2 sides of the blinds.

I wonder if a kid had seen us fucking through that little gap if we'd be in trouble even though I never had the intention for him seeing.

You could even set an eye in their bathrooms and if you were superman you could probably even ogal lecherously at females to check if they were wearing panties or thongs. Anyway it's not your business or the business of those retarded cops to care about what the fuck the taxpayers do in their own houses, I mean they have god-given rights to do whatever they want at home just like they're totally free to choose what kinda under garment to wear.
