This doesn't bother anyone? Some guy living in the Dominion can get $5000 of your tax dollars to buy a new golf cart?

I have to say Im guilty in pondering taking advantage of it myself.... just to re-sell the cart at a later date.

No shit. I'm thinking about getting another one for the ranch if they are insisting on just giving money away. I've already got two old 36v carts I bought used and lifted and put ATV tires on... I could get a brand new 48v cart for basically the same money after the 5K tax credit...

"The Golf Cart Man" in the Villages of Lady Lake, Florida is running a banner online ad that declares: "GET A FREE GOLF CART. Or make $2,000 doing absolutely nothing!"

Golf Cart Man is referring to his offer in which you can buy the cart for $8,000, get a $5,300 tax credit off your 2009 income tax, lease it back for $100 a month for 27 months, at which point Golf Cart Man will buy back the cart for $2,000. "This means you own a free Golf Cart or made $2,000 cash doing absolutely nothing!!!" You can't blame a guy for exploiting loopholes that Congress offers.

The IRS has also ruled that there's no limit to how many electric cars an individual can buy, so some enterprising profiteers are stocking up on multiple carts while the federal credit lasts, in order to resell them at a profit later. We should note that some states, such as Oklahoma, have caught on to the giveaway and are debating whether to cancel or limit their state credits. But in Congress they're still on the driving range.

This golf-cart fiasco perfectly illustrates tax policy in the age of Obama, when politicians dole out credits and loopholes for everything from plug-in cars to fuel efficient appliances, home insulation and vitamins. Democrats then insist that to pay for these absurdities they have no choice but to raise tax rates on other things—like work and investment—that aren't politically in vogue.

So it is just a write off not a credit? Not a great deal for most folks…If Obama really wanted to help the economy he would offer a 7k rebate twoards the purchase of a new Harley Fat Bob….

Also I heard that the White House has committed an additional 40,000 troops to help fight Fox News…

It's a CREDIT. Straight off the top of what you owe no matter what your tax bracket.

Are these the going rates? The models are limited that quality for a rebate...
Most rebates are $4234.00...

Well, it is more environmentally friendly then the Hummer tax break (http://www.seattlepi.com/local/104601_hummer17.shtml)that put so many of those on the road.

So click on the website, go to rebates, is the EVE Deluxe a fair price or are these things being marked up because of the rebate?

Anyone?

Thats about right if it's a 48v cart with the right high performance guts to run at a reasonable speed on the street...

Thank you…Apparently these are selling well at saddleback carts…I am looking into one of these…It has nothing to do with the rebates…It just pains me so much that we have all of these carbon emission vehicles on the road…Its like every time a Prius starts, a tree dies, a new hole in the ozone, more landfills with toxic electrolyte waste….

EmptyMan

I've noticed the majority of Prius owners drive slowly. I hypothesize this is either due to the poor performance of the vehicle itself or the originial nature of said Prius owner that would move them to purchase such a vehicle in the first place.

Either way, according the my calculations, Prius owners are causing me to have no other option but emit a greater amount of carbon dioxide as I accelerate in passing.

Thanks...It's at the ranch. I planted a lot of areas with wildflower seeds.

That particular area I planted with this mix...

It was just starting when I took those pictures. It got a lot better than that. It was a huge mass of color.
