It was expected, the real question was when it would happen... as some people said, just after he got to play a bit in his home town of Austin.

The Spurs have waived Curtis Jerrells. The roster now stands at 16. The final roster spot has come down to a contest between Malik Hairston and Marcus Williams and, by the looks of things, Hairston is the clear favorite. It’s always possible that the Spurs could cut someone with guaranteed money, but that seems unlikely.
