Would not be a bad option...

Fuggit. Let's bring back Daniels, Barry, Udoka, White, Ely, and the Ghost of Christmas Past.

Who ya gonna drop? I don't think the Spurs are going to sign him and keep Hairston in Austin.

Rather have Hairston if they fill the 15th roster slot.

I'd rather have Hairston at this point.

Depends on how badly the Spurs want a 3rd PG option for cheap.

If the answer is "So bad we'll take a guy the Timberwolves didn't like", then expect to see him here soon.

We have one. His name is Manu Ginobili.

Don't want Daniels, rather have Hairston.

I was wondering how long it would take for this thread to appear..

No thanks, Hairston's a more pressing need if they're to go with 15.

Is Bogans under contract? Don't think the Spurs are going to throw good money after bad at this point. Unless they can replace salary for salary the best we can hope for is a trade down the road.

Not only that.

He's a guy that Minny will pay a significant percentage of his 6.6M salary to NOT play for them. Don't think Antonio has too much left in the tank.

Is Timmy still best friends with AD?

I don't think Pop would have him back. He quit on the starting spot after, what 4 games? They groomed his ass for 2 full seasons and gave him a 3yr/$9M contract, which at the time was more than the MLE, and he pulls that shit? The Spurs couldn't ship his ass out fast enough after the season.

I like AD, but I think the team has a pretty good thing going with Hill backing Tony up. Plus you got Money to fill 3rd string PG minutes when he's not playing the 2. I just don't see any way AD fits as anything more than injury insurance when you have Manu, Roger, and Fin capable of playing the 2. Assuming health this is just a really strong backcourt that doesn't have much room to add anyone else.

We have Antonio Daniels. His name is George Hill. About 6'2"-6'4". Long arms, athletic, can play a bit of D. That's Antonio Daniels right there, but much younger.

AD was the best athlete on the team at the time IIRC
i dont know if we can say that about the chosen one.

I cant believe AD was ever the 4th overall pick.

But then there was Kwame...

If he could play the way he did four years ago he wouldn't be bouncing around the NBA. Absolutely no way we should get him at this time.

Antonio showed in New Orleans last year that his game has fallen quite a ways off.

I could think of worse guys to have as your third string PG however.

To play devil's advocate, Minnesota is absolutely set at PG with Johnny Flynn and Ramon Sessions. There's just no way they're going to need another point guard when they have two starting-level players already who are going to get huge minutes.

He can make the roster, he didn't want to play there....

Agree. I would rather have a guy who dribble the guy than a guy who's too short to guard anybody credibly at the SG position.

Maybe he can come back and do more commercials for Jims.

"That's... why... I... eat... at... Jims."
