It just needed it's own thread, this season looks to be fantastic! Pretty amazing season premier. I mean, they stabbed a dog vessel of Hitler's soul, Hank's officially turning into a badass (Brock Jr.), Sgt. Hatred is reprogrammed but hints at still being a child molester, Brock goes through all sorts of shit but comes out alive, Hunter's a triple agent (and not a woman) and it looks as though he has started his own 'justice league'. Really eventful first episode, AstrobaseGo! has really done a great job at upping the ante every season. I just wanted to start an open end thread about this Venture Bros season, so any response Venture, Guild, OSI, Monarch or otherwise, this is the place. Sorry, just geeking out.

You really don't have to say everything that goes on in the season thread
But yeah this season looks like it's going to be amazing
Is it true it will be the last season?
that running cgc joke was fucking awesome
BTW hank's still a douche, but it was about time he grow up. Also had at least five or six references to "Giant Boy Detective" which has me in stitches every time its said.

venture bros is best when you save up a couple eps and watch them one after another, i watched the season premiere and when it ended i was craving more.
i love how they tie up everything, no loose ends, even if it gets convoluted, its the metal gear solid of cartoons

Ya, it will be a growing process. If you have heard it will be their last season, you know more than I. I would assume if it remains to be a cult cash cow, we can expect a Venture Spin-off. Henchman 21 coming back all LARP was a nice touch. "Giant Boy Detective" almost had me pissing myself! Hank is still a douche, yes. But the budding mullet and his sudden ability to mild cursing hints at what's to come. The Hunter/Brock side of the story really intrigued me. I hope they don't duck in and out on that storyline.

LARP?
LARP = Live Action Role Playing. Like acting out D & D with home-made foam weapons.

Was that what he was doing?
I thought that he had started a new arching-crew and he was the boss
those other dudes were generically dressed compared to him i thought they were his henchmen
Are you sure?

I would assume he has indeed started a new crew, but the theme he was applying was very 'renaissance faire'. Also, in the background when they are bringing back the jet, his "henchmen" discuss how they made their weapons at home, to which one of the agents guarding the venture compound responds with "is that made out of foam?" or something to the effect.

lol
oh yeah
man this show is amazing in its care to every little detail of the plot
i wonder how long they work on each episode
Jackson Publick in his blog said this year's animation is going to be incredible, the team that does it out of Korea finally has a consistent idea of what they want. Like there wont be any more drastic changes this season, and he said it finally looks comic-booky like he always intended it to be.

The fact that the guy who does Batman's voice is doing wonderman should make this one interesting

that lube joke was hilarious, as was the fact that the "team" he needed to rejoin was a news team, and the ghost robot was a weatherman

Good episode. Loading up the pedder-ass jokes in the first couple episodes. The narration for Captain Sunshine and the ray gun was a nice comic nod. I can only assume they are throwing us for a loop on the intentions of the CS character. I was a little confused by the plot, though. If you miss a second of the show a good amount of plot has already turned. Namely, how did the monarch get Hank and Dean originally, and how is 21 back with the Monarch and all toughed up? I assume it'll rerun this week, but the episode seemed kinda jumpy to me from my first viewing. Again, I've obviously missed something.

The monarch already had hank and dean in the beginning of the episode, as was the bulked up 21.
