Duncan and the Spurs sure don't care who picks them, so why do we?

This is exactly the way Pop. Tim and the rest of the Spurs want it. Under the radar. Until someone knocks the Lakers out they should be the favs by the media. If we had been picked by most I would worry. That would be like the kiss of death.

Not that I care, but a lot of people are sleeping on the Spurs and Magic.

I understand why people are sleeping on us when you consider health and injury problems(which go together), but I have no idea why anybody is sleeping on Orlando..I've watched most of their preseason games(they're my brother's favorite team), and their depth and talent is overwhelming..they also have the best defensive player in the NBA, which obviously goes a long way..

Lakers are the consensus pick to win the west and win it all. No surprise there-I'd pick them as well. They are intact for the most part, they have Phil & Kobe, they added Artest, Lamar stayed, Bynum, barring injury, can only get better, they have depth. Heck, even most spurs players would admit the lakers are the favorite

It is kind of funny that the Spurs, 2 years removed from winning a championship, are picked behind Denver or even Portland. I'm glad Pop & Co. don't get out of sorts with this type of thing-this is for fans to argue over endlessly. :hat

I regret not getting in on that when the Spurs were put at 12 to 1 Vegas Odds, even just after the Jefferson trade.

Let the haters hate. We'll see who's still standing in June.

Over/Under 2.5 arms ripped off by DeJuan Blair this season.

1) Orlando had a chanche in 09 and blew it.
2) They also have one of the worst coaches, in SVG, incidentally nicknamed "Panic" by insiders.

completely believable.
i mean, the season still hasn't begun...and we lost to the freggin ponygirls in the first round last year. even w/the changes, we're the ones w/something to prove, not last years (hurts to say) champs...
