which one would it be?

for me it would be the 2007 draft pick of Marcus Williams. I would have drafted Marc Gasol. This way, he couldn't have been used in the Pau Gasol trade, leaving a huge hole in the middle for the Lakers. Also, he would give us another big man option to put next to Timmy or a nice little trade nugget.

Perhaps if we had drafted Marc, we could have used him to acquire Pau, the way the Lakers did.

They would have just thrown someone else in on the trade. It was a "get the Lakers back to the top" trade orchestrated by the league. I would have taken Big Baby.

If they wanted potential, Monta Ellis wouldn't have been a bad choice either. He went at #40 to GS.

i actually think the Boozer one is the worst for us. ever since we lost DRob, Tim has never shared the paint with another all-star caliber player. Boozer is such a player.

I think the gist is "picks that were made for the Spurs", not picks made for other teams. The Spurs never wanted Salmons or Barbosa.

Good call on Duhon or Ariza in 2004, though.
