I’ve been a season ticket holder since 2004, but I’m always alert for opportunities to upgrade from my perch high above the Spurs bench. While there are various third-party ticketsellers such as Stubhub and auction sites such as Ebay, if you’re comfortable buying tickets that way you probably don’t need any help.
So for those looking for a good deal to the game while buying directly from the Spurs or Ticketmaster, read on.
Cheapest tickets to the game. The lowest priced tickets have a face value of $10.35. With Ticketmaster fees, those tickets will cost you over $17 per ticket. For tonight’s game, as of one hour ago, Ticketmaster was showing only single seats available at that price. Not to worry. There are numerous listings on the TicketExchange for $11.21 per ticket. Once you add the $1.75 e-mail fee, a pair of tickets will cost you a little more than $24. Those same tickets purchased from Ticketmaster directly will cost over $35.

Best value for tonight’s game. Pat Green will be performing after the game. I had to Google him to find out if it would be worth hanging around after the game. On his website there is a link to discounted tickets to the game. When you click thru, it takes you to an offer for tickets at Group Rates, but there is no minimum ticket requirement. The best deals are on the tickets with face values of $84, $110, and $125. If purchased from Ticketmaster directly, a pair of tickets with fees would be $190, 242, and $274. When purchased through this offer, those same seats are $84, $159, and $179. Yes, the $84 tickets can be purchased for half price.

Click on “Find Tickets” to get to the next page where you will be prompted for a “special offer code”. Enter “spurs” and then click “verify”:
On the next page, you will have to create a Group Account with the Spurs. Just some basic info, no credit card at this point.
Once that is done you can access the offer with your e-mail address and password.
You’ll get to a page with two pulldowns, one for number of tickets, the second for price. Make sure you choose the $42.00, $79.35, or $89.35 tickets for the maximum discount.
Once you have made your choice, you will be prompted for the credit card info. Proceed as with any online purchase. A PDF file with tickets should be in your inbox within 2-3 minutes.
One last thing, I’ve found that if you request tickets that are no longer available, you will get an error message. In that case, clear your cache, restart your browser, and login again. I also have no idea how long this offer will be available. I would assume until 2 hours before gametime.
