does he get over 15 minutes? under? when do you think he would first appear or does he even play tonight?

I bet he's slated for about 12 minutes, starting early in the second quarter (assuming it's still competitive). A lot of it has to depend on his play. If he goes out there and looks lost, especially on defense, he won't play all that much; if he continues the tear he was on in the pre-season, I see no reason Pop wouldn't play him for upwards of 20 minutes thereafter.

Minutes played, to me, will be just as interesting as anything else in the box score. I'll be watching Hill, Ratliff, McDysse and Blair. RJ is gonna get a lot of run.

as long as he plays serviceable defense and rebounds, I'm thinking 20-30 minutes, depending on his conditioning

dude, that's a lot of minutes for him. I guess you're thinking that Ratliff won't play and it'll just be Tim, Mcdyess, Bonner and Blair?

Perfect matchup for Blair to get some minutes and experience. I'll guess 16 minutes.

I'll take 18 minutes with 6 points and 8 boards. Let's also throw in a steal or two.

The Hornets look like a good matchup for Blair to really compete. They dont have any good bigs besides West/Okafor so i expect him to come out with the second unit and pretty much continue the onslaught.....

i myself and am thinking about 16 to 18 minutes. if it is a close game in the 4th i would not expect to see him in that quarter at all.

I can see Blair playing very limited minutes tonight. You think Pop suddenly trusts a bench rookie?

Yes, but DeJuan Blair plays with such intensity he gets credit for 16 minutes when he only plays 8 minutes. It has to do with the invisible time plane but only Blair and Ginobili exist in it.

Against Hilton Armstrong? I would.

I mean, I hope he plays. But this is Pop we're talking about. He won't trust his bench enough until like 30 games are down.

Between 14-18 minutes.

9 min for Blair. I'm hoping Georgie gets some burn to hopefully continue his great offseason and produce.

If you think about it, the more minutes the veteran Bigs play tonight, the fewer they play tomorrow night (b2b...don't forget). Tonight or tomorrow, Blair should get some decent minutes.

I think it's important to get that first win under your belt, I don't care if Blair plays at all. I hope to see him more though as the season goes on, Pop keep talking about how he wants to get certain players plenty of rest, playing Blair makes perfect sense, especially early in the season.

I hope he gets soem good burn tonight. Court time can do nothing but help Blair at this point. This is Pop though and we all know he is not afraid to DNPing his rooks. I would be angrey if he did not play, or only got to play in garbage time yes but honestly would it be very surprising if Pop hardly played him?

I think Blair will definitely get some burn tonight. Considering all the hype that Blair has gotten this offseason I think it would almost be blasphemy to sit him all game. But that doesn't mean he'll play much either.

8-12 minutes. I'll take the middle: 10.

Pop will play mind games with him early in the year. I wish he wouldn't, but Pop is Pop. So I say Blair is the 5th big off the bench tonight (Duncan-Dice-Bonner-Theo-Blair), and he plays 8-10 minutes.

Pop will want to dangle the carrot in front of him. I think Pop's sadistic side wants to see just how hungry this guy is.

However, I would be very interested to see how Blair would defend David West, the primo Spur killer. So I hope we get to see DeJuan on him some. We know that Bonner can't guard West, and we assume that Dice would stick him good, but I have no idea how Blair would do.

Not sure Blair can guard West well at this point, but to be fair I'm not sure West can handle Blair's size on the other end either, particularly, keeping Blair off the offensive glass.

I think Blair will get some good minutes, especially if the lead is blown open. Remember, we travel to Chicago tomorrow and I'm pretty sure Pop probably isn't gonna want to play Duncan a lot of minutes either which leaves minutes for the Grizzly Blair.

Probably not, I thought Ratliff was 4th string. Personally I think there's no way in hell Bonner should be starting or in the rotation and that Ratliff should replace him

the paper has bonner in the starting lineup so it appears mcdyess will be coming off the bench for him and perhaps it will be blair subbing for tim

Blair - 5-8 minutes
Bonner - 15-20 minutes

Based on NBA past that would make sense.

Bonner is a proven NBA commodity. Blair is not.
