Ty Lawson looks ridiculous...he's the splitting image of Chris Paul on the court

I didn't think he could do it in the NBA. Good for him. Denver might have gotten a steal.

Fuck, the Bobcats own the Lakers. Good thing it isn't the Nuggets, cause the Lakers might have not won it last year if so.

No Ariza to bail the Lakers out w/ those clutch steals like in games 1 and 3 in the playoffs this year right? Let's see how well that goes this season should they meet again in the playoffs.:hat

This guy could end up being a steal for the Nuggets. That being said, I am more convinced now than I was last year that they aren't true championship contenders. Denver looks all badass tonight. They tend to be all up in their intensity when things go their way. When adversity hits, and things aren't going their way, they struggle and simply implode. That emotion that they base their play on so much of goes against them. That won't change as long as George Karl is the head coach.
Denver will have a nice season. Get 50 plus wins but they aren't getting the luxury of playing 2 non-athletic teams in the first 2 rounds like they did last year. They simply don't have the mentality when the pressure is on to get the job done.

I could see Denver beating SA, maybe. Duncan isn't even close to his 2008 self. Jefferson is going to get destroyed by Carmelo. Lawson has the speed to match up with Parker.

It is one game into the regular season and you could already see how Duncan is going to be in the playoffs.

We'll see how long it takes Karl to f'k with this kid.
+ I think Karl is like Artest: he loves Kobe more than he loves his team.

Lakers will have trouble with speedy, capable guards. Aaron Brooks nearly beat them by himself last year. This in no way pushes Denver past Los Angeles, but it adds an interesting wrinkle.

1) I could see Denver beating SA, maybe. 2) Duncan isn't even close to his 2008 self. 3) Jefferson is going to get destroyed by Carmelo. 4) Lawson has the speed to match up with Parker.
1) and I could also see the Thunder as the eighth seed, maybe
2) based on....? Hes logged how many minutes in one game this season? wishful thinking
3) thats true
4) Name one matchup Parker lost in the playoffs since '07. This rookie wont stop him

You're right. He'll be even worse after 82 games.
This rookie wont stop him
Never said he'll stop him, just matchup well with his speed. But the Mavs still punked the Spurs despite Tony's tremendous play. Duncan just isn't what he was. Not even close. And a fat stumpy PF isn't going to save you against the Lakers front line.

Why would the NBA Champions be afraid of first round exit fodder? The Maverick's discards no less. :lol
