View Full Version : Concerned about Manu & RJ

Hey guys, I'm a little concerned about Manu and Richard Jefferson.

Last night during the game, I saw RJ whisper something into Manu's ear after Manu commited a foul and it clearly pissed Manu off.

Today, I was looking at the thread "Spurs - Hornets Highlights" and was watching the 2nd quarter and there was a moment when Manu was high fivin everyone coming back to the bench and RJ straight snubbed him. WTF?!!?

This was a problem RJ had when he was in New Jersey and hes bringing that garbage over to San Antonio. I love RJ's game but I would never want the chemistry of this team to be jeapardized. "Team" is the motto for the Spurs, not "ego."

Watch this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fS02CGBTz-k) at the 5:30 mark.

That's exactly what I mean. It has potential to ruin team chemistry.

I wouldn't think much of it though RJ just didn't notice Manu's hand was out (that happens to me all the time).

Dude, I pray that I'm wrong. I thought bringing RJ over to an organization like the Spurs would straighten him out He did the same to Vince Carter in another video and it's hard to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I want to be wrong. We'll see how things play out.

They were talking during the 4th and as the team was exiting the floor after the game you can see Manu and RJ laughing about something. They're cool.

For me, it's just weird that he would already have a problem with Manu or vice versa. You think maybe because of the rumors that he's gay @ Manu/Marcus Williams? Serious...

I noticed the RJ talking to Manu about the foul too, but I find it funny how you interpreted it so differently than I did. Its pretty easy to read RJ's lips there. He said "let him shoot". DeJuan had Okafor covered and forced him into a tough shot. Manu came over and intentionally fouled Okafor, fearing an easy bucket. RJ told Manu to trust DeJuan and let Okafor shoot. Manu was pissed because he committed a dumb foul.

If anything, you should be happy they are working together this early.

The high 5 isn't going to ruin the chemistry....but tension in the locker room will..

But anyway, I was wrong. This thread needs to close.

Blair's big 50 lb ass got in the way.

And I wonder who among the bigs had the most points in the paint? Blair had 12 points in the paint, so I think he was the man in the middle.:toast

thats funny cause ive always noticed that Tim Duncan doesnt high five Tony Parker in pregame introductions. Dont know if thats a ritual or Timmy just doesnt like Tony and its a mutual feeling if thats the case.

I really don't want to entertain such a stupid theory but you can see RJ missed Manu completely on accident he then turns around and yells to Manu getting his attention, most likely to fist bump or clap hands.
