Lopez is much better than Bynum. Lopez will be an absolute beast in a year or two.

Bynum All Star this year.

Brook Lopez, not an All-Star this year (unless you count the sophomore game).

Brook Lopez is good
Bynum is bettah.

You are correct on the Bynum defensive assignment. Kaman took and made mid-range shots which Bynum didn't guard. That was all on Bynum.

Bynum hasn't put the effort on defense. Brook Lopez hustles more than Bynum does now.

lopez has the potential to be duncan-lite. if he keeps getting touches like this, he'll be averaging 20pts, 10 rebounds. unlike bynum and the lakers, nets won't have an all star bigman appearing anytime soon.

I think Lopez...

But Bynum has just as much potential because of his athleticism.

Didn't Bynum also torch Jefferson last year, Jefferson doesnt play defense at all, i think Bynum had like a crap load of Points and Bynum stoped Jefferson, the only time Jefferson scored was when Bynum went on the Bench

Brooks got some serious potential, I wish I drafted him instead of Gerald Wallace.

Jefferson is better than both Lopez and Bynum. The defense is over blown. Bynum plays defense by sagging and protecting the rim, yet Jefferson still averages more blocks and defensive rebounds than him. Bynum is a better man to man defender because Jefferson has slow feet, which doesnt allow him to guard PF's ad really use his size advantae at all.

No he isn't and no his defense is not over blown. He's one of the worst defenders in the league at his position.

What's your point? Jefferson is playing next to Kevin Love while Bynum is playing next to Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom.

Bynum would be averaging 20/10+ he if was on the Wolves.

The worse case scenario for Lopez's career is a more explosive Andrew Bynum.

So far Andrew looks more Impressive, but most likely Andrew will get injured

I wonder what numbers would lopez get being spoon fed in the triangle...which is undeniable in bynum's case.

Yeah but dont forget Andrew gets less touches because he is Playing behind Kobe, Gasol, Odom, Artest, and Fisher, Fisher pisses me off because he never passes the ball to Bynum

There are only 2 players I know off hand that play on the Nets; Devin Harris and Brook Lopez.

On the Lakers, Bynum has to share with Kobe, Lamar, Fisher and Artest.

It's surprising that Bynum's scoring this much playing with those 4 guys.

Bynum is already a 20-10 guy.

Brook has a few years to catch up though; just his 2nd year and a very solid player.

Brooks reminds me of Duncan a little bit. They should go all out to recruit James and Bosh.

Agree.

If Bron Bron is indeed going to wind up in New York, the Nets roster would give him a much better supporting cast than the Knicks.

Nets would be a sick team if they had:

Harris
Lee
James
Bosh
Brooks

I think the Nets have a very REAL chance at getting LeBron if he leaves Cleveland.

HarlemHeat37

Harris doesn't fit with that lineup at all..he could if they don't get Bosh, but not if they get both..he's too much of a ballhog..

Imo they have a WAY better chance for landing Lebron than the Knicks have.

I was thinking about this a couple of nights ago. NJ with their young talent are probably the leader right now for Lebron's services.

As far as the thread goes...Bynum probably has the edge right now, but in two years Lopez will easily be better than him and he will have the better career.

Why should you be surprised? As long as a guy is shooting the ball, what does it matter who's he playing with? Bynum - 14.5 FGA per game; Lopez - 11.5 FGA per game. Lopez is being doubled hard before the catch pretty much every possession.

I'd go with Lopez, Bynum is too slow reading the game on the defensive side.
