Me and the GF play it on our iphones and can share a game especially when Im out of town. Its kinda cool. Never do finish a game like the OP said, damn thing takes forever.

When we play Monopoly, we almost always finish. It takes several hours but I can't imagine not playing it out.

And I've finished almost every game of Monopoly I've played, but I'm usually long past over it by about hour four. I get to a certain point where I just start selling shit to get out of the game sooner.

I love to be the shoe too! It's my favorite. We pretty much always finish a game because I play against my kids, and since they don't know the game as well as I do I can finish them off pretty quick. :cooldevil

I usually finish games when I play. I've won once. One time in my entire life. Usually I start strong but somewhere around the middle of the game I nosedive. I love that game.

My longest game I think went to about 7 am, playing at my cousin's house when I was about 13 in their 'shed'

Risk doesn't take long at all if you know what you are doing. My normal game of Risk takes maybe 4-5 turns.

Monopoly shouldn't take terribly too long if you are playing with people who don't know how to manage money and make deals. The better the players, the longer it takes.

Anyone ever play Diplomacy, or Scotland Yard? I love those games. And Talisman. :)

As for playing Monopoly with a real money pot to the winner - I have a friend who has quick hands and sees Monopoly as a chance to sharpen his skills by cheating everyone blind! No real money games against him... and never let him be the bank... never leave the room... don't have anything distracting on in the background like the TV... etc. :lol

Yep, I think that's the problem. If you play 'house rules' the game can get to where it never ends. I prefer the box rules. Hell, playing with the $500, sometimes my friends and I would have to get money out of the Life game.
