I think Blair's weakness is some typical defensive mistake which is usually made by rookies.

Some times he is too focus on the ball, and thus he gambled some steals or lost his defense position.

Nothing freaks out "newcomers" to Texas than 'bats' and 'flying wood cockroaches'.
They're scarred for life. One out of town relative still will not go on the patio after one landed on her years ago.
As to the bats we use to throw crumpled up tinfoil balls at bats for hours as kids to make them dive bomb us and piss them off in the streets. Simpler times long ago. For some reasons the parents were reluctant to let us use shotguns. Go figure.
