Frank Gore Baby!

If the Niners have any semblance of a passing game then Frank can actually be effective. Great run!

curious, but what's your story behind being both a Cowboys fan and a Colts fan?

I was raised in TX (San Antonio), so I grew up a Cowboys fan. That's also where my love of the Spurs comes from.

Now, I'm living in Indy. I've been here 7 years.
Living here, it's tough not to get caught up in the Colts.

symple19
11-01-2009, 01:53 PM
it's fun listening/watching Peyton and his antics at the line.

All week the niners have been talking about how Manning always (or most of the time) snaps the ball at around the same time in the play clock. They're going to try to move around and disguise their defense until he's about to snap it, and then get into their formation in order to try to confuse Peyton a bit.

Look for the Niners to blitz a lot all day too

symple19
11-01-2009, 01:54 PM

He may snap the ball at the same time, but the real confusion for other teams comes with his play call.
He goes out with 3 options, reads the defense, and then changes his calls. He does this all the time.

I know, it's been a major focus for the niners. They're trying to flip the script on him and not pay attention to his histrionics and instead make him worry about them. Doing a good job so far.

I'm a big Peyton fan. He's the best in football, IMHO

symple19
11-01-2009, 02:07 PM

it's worse here in the Bay area because there are two teams. The Raiders get blacked out at home cuz they never sell out, so if they were playing the Chargers at home then I would see the Packers game. Niners always sell out, so their games are always on.(which is great, of course) NFL makes sure the two teams play at different times. (raiders are the late game today)

I'll just find a stream to watch the Vikes/Pack game

he was very good in college.

With the Niners he's made some circus catches, but his route running has always left something to be desired. It's the reason why he hasn't been able to break into the starting lineup.

But you'll hear his name often on spec teams. He's very good in kick coverage, and is a smart player

well, it's a TD the niners need either way. If you make the 2 then you force the niners to make the extra point to take the lead, plus you set yourself up to retake the lead with a FG instead of a TD in the event the Niners score

All Peyton needs to do is put together a min-drive and I think the Niners are done.

Well, I haven't paid attention to the league much this year, so i wasn't sure what to expect from a 3-3 team.
The 9ers have put up more of a fight than I thought.
No matter the outcome today, perhaps this will put a new mindset in them and turn their season around.

Niners D is legit

Niners Offense is inconsistent and vanilla

Niners special teams is solid.

Seems like they're close to something, but then again they may just be mediocre, or worse. QB play is IMO the missing link, that and better play-calling

I just really wish the Colts were more consistent with their running game, but when Gonzalez comes back in a week or so the Colts will have just that many more weapons on offense.
