Five NBA teams left without a loss:

Denver
Orlando
Boston
Phoenix
Miami

And all five face off against various opponents tonight:

Orlando (3-0) @ Detroit (1-2)
Phoenix (3-0) @ Miami (3-0)
Boston (4-0) @ Philadelphia (2-1)
Denver (3-0) @ Indiana (0-2)

Which one loses first?

Obviously it'll be Phoenix or Miami since the other 3 teams play mediocre opponents.

If I had to guess I'd say Miami wins only cause it's in Miami and they gave the Suns fits last year. I don't think they're that much better than Phoenix, if at all.

(I figure Denver has a 50/50 shot of fucking up in Indiana tonight, so I'll do the foolish thing and give them the benefit of the doubt.)

So Miami turns Shaq into Marion into Jermaine Oneal.

The Suns turn Marion into Shaq into Ben Wallace into buyout.

I'd say Miami came out the victors in THAT trade. The Suns are essentially paying for Miami's 2006 championship.

Fucking idiots.

The stats are there. Can't argue with that but we all know Jason Richardson and Barbosa are going to have a hard time keeping up with Wade.

Of course, but he's Dwyane Wade. Very few guys can keep up with him. :lol

I'm not worried so much about Wade and O'Neal, as much as I am about the role players. If QRich and Beasley are doing damage, then we'll have a problem.

Suns are now one of only 3 undefeated teams!

Is it just me, or are the undefeated teams and, for that matter, winless teams disappearing faster than usual? Only 3 of each left already, a week into the season.

Nuggets should be 1 of 2 teams left standing in a couple of days, assuming they dont choke in New Jersey

Suns vs the Magic and then the Celtics, so obviously the Suns or Celtics will have one loss after that match.

Out of the next 10 games, the most dangerous ones for Boston will be Utah or Orlando. I'm not worried about Phoenix, they'd need to be incredibly hot from the 3 pt line to beat the Cs. We play a lot of up-tempo teams though (Suns, Pacers, Warriors, 76ers, Hawks) and that means some trouble.

The Suns schedule is ridiculously difficult. They have little chance of being the last team undefeated. If they go 6-4 in the next 10 games it'd already be good for them.

If the Nuggets survive the Hawks and the Bucks, I can see them being the last team undefeated and starting with some ridiculous record, 18-2, or so. I think they'll drop at least one game in this trip, so my money is on the Cs.

DUNCANownsKOBE2

Watching the game right now, I'm awed at how much looser the team looks. As much as I liked Shaq it's pretty clear how much better the team chemistry is. Granted the player's main objective should be to win (not to "have fun"), it's not a good thing when someone's stomach turns driving to the game every night cause they hate being around a certain player. Peace Shaq, you did a great job making me forget what Steve Nash is capable of.

Hot damn, Suns pulled out a good win tonight. Orlando still can't fucking beat Detroit. Denver bent Indiana over and raped them....but not nearly as bad as Boston raped Philly.

And then there were 3...

Didn't think the Suns were gonna win tonight. It had all the makings of one of those horrible letdown games where the Suns don't really seem to have their hearts in it.

...Then the Suns came alive in the 2nd half, and I remembered this isn't the '08-'09 team anymore. They did the same shit to the Clippers a week ago; made 'em think they had the game in hand and took it away in the 4th quarter. Haven't seen the Suns play with this kind of passion on both ends of the floor since 2007.

Annnnyway...

Phoenix (4-0) @ Orlando (3-1)
Denver (4-0) @ New Jersey (0-4)
Boston (5-0) @ Minnesota (1-3)

All three teams are on the road, and on the 2nd game of back-to-backs. The Suns obviously have the stiffest competition, but Orlando is also on the 2nd of a back-to-back. Could get interesting with both teams bombing away from outside the arc.

Orlando's going to be pissed after losing tonight to the Pistons.

But more importantly, Friday Nov 6 @ Boston then the Wizards on Sunday.

Brutal stretch.

I don't care that the Suns are in the Pacific Divison, I'm rooting for them to have fun at the Celtics expense.

The Suns have an absolutely awful stretch of games this month:

@Miami - W
@Orlando
@Boston
@Washington
@Philadelphia
New Orleans
@LA Lakers
Toronto
@Houston
@New Orleans
Detroit

Those are the next ten games, with the 2nd of back-to-backs bolded. Hopefully they get a good rhythm going on this road trip, or else they could end up on a massive losing streak.

What's scary is that December is even worse...
