Anyone watching this game? Lots of bricks so far.

It is the Boston Celtics. There is bound to be some sort of slugfest until Boston decides to score.

Quite ugly openin for Boston so far. Bad shots, and some that just aren't dropping.

Holy crud, Pierce just managed to take four or five steps without being called for a travel.

Swtiching between this and Denver/Pacers

Wizards/Cavs will probably be the best early game though.

Bullshit call on Pierce there.

Philadelphia is one of those teams that everyone underestimates at the start of the game. Then, they wonder how the hell they're losing by 10 in the 4th quarter to the Sixers.

Doesn't look like Boston is taking them lightly, though.

I like the Philly team; dalembert and iguodala are great players.

Also, that steal by rondo looked like something I'd do on 2K10.

Some weird calls tonight. Dalembert falls back over rondo who's on the floor, and rondo got called for it.

Also, the sixers are not a good three point shooting team if tonight is an indicator. They're not even that close to sinking them on many shots.

I wonder where you got the idea they might become a three point shooting team cause outside of Kapono, none of them can shoot it consistently.

Oh I'm not trying to say they are/ could be a good three shootin team. Just that I'm surprised how far off the threes are.

Sheed must like this homecoming...

76ers have pretty much given up... The human victory cigar Scalabrine is in.

Nice to see these guys off to a good 5-0 start. I am really interested to see how much better the bench will be when Davis returns.

It was an ugly start but it is nice to see that the Celts D has been playing great.

Sixers bringing back old logos

Nice looking unis and court. :tu

Now, if they could just bring back the old team, they wouldn't suck so much

Yeah it's nice but don't forget last year. The Celts were off to a dominating 27-2 start then lost and fell into a slump. I just want to stay healthy.

True, but these early blowouts are helping the starters get a decent amount of rest.

Celtics looking really good early in the year. Blowout of the Sixers and easily dismantling the Cavs.

The Cavs at home are not a shitty team. Also, teams like the Spurs lose to the Bulls who have just gotten smashed since and the Celtics are taking care of business every single night.

If they stay healthy, they will obviously be one of the best teams in the league.

Yeah that is true. I am wondering if we will use Tony Allen and Scalabrine's deals to lure in another bench player. I would like another wing. We can survive with House running the backup pg duties.

BTW congrats on being a dad. Been meaning to tell you that. :toast

The Cleveland game wasn't a blowout

Did I say they killed every single team they have played? But if you watched the game the Celtics after the first quarter completely owned the Cavs.

The Cavs got owned. Too much Rondo and Garnett

Thanks man. I'll be up in dover, nh next week to see the family. (I've got family in Lynn, Portsmouth and Alton, nh, so I tried to pick a spot between all three.)

Something tells me we will keep Scalabrine, but I'm all for moving Tony Allen. What wings are available that would work well with our system though?

Also, just got my ticket for the saints/pats game. Couldve gotten seats real close to the pats sideline for 450, but wife convinced me to spend 250 less and sit up high. Still a great view; sec 614, row 9.

Mo Williams> Rondo because he made the all star team. Even though the only thing that Mo is better at is shooting, he is still better than Rondo. Last years all-star game was evident enough.

I'd love to get James Posey back but that's a pipe dream.:depressed:depressed

That Pats game should be a real good one especially with the Pats getting into a groove now.

Better hope the Hornets really tank for us to get Posey lol

Do you check Reiss' blog on ESPN Boston? He had an article stating that Brady pretty much said they had to change around their offense after the first two weeks. (probably due to the unexpected suckitude of Galloway)

Didn't read that blog. Maybe that's why they looked badly out of sync early. They look like they have chemistry going on that side of the ball now.

You should read it; mike reiss does great work, and was a smart pickup by espn. Bruschi contributes too.

I'd like another wing as well. A guy to make up for Daniels deficiencies: able to guard bigger wings, durable and with a decent outside shot. A smaller, quicker Scalabrine (that I'd like to get back after 30 days). I don't see anyone we can get with the expirings, even if we send some money along. I'd just try to trade Allen, sending $3 millions and a 2nd rounder for someone with cap-space or non-guaranteed contracts and sign Ime Udoka.

Nice to see these guys off to a good 5-0 start. I am really interested to see how much better the bench will be when Davis returns.

The bench will never play better than this. We were almost outscored with the starters tonight. The bench scored 62 points. It'll regress to the mean, they aren't really that good. With Davis, assuming he gets Williams' minutes, the bench will score a little better, defend equally or better depending on the matchups and rebound worse. Not that big of a difference, it's a 4th big.

They were off to a 27-2 start, but it wasn't a dominating one. They were just winning an abnormal number of close games. Their record was a lie, as I wrote at the time, they weren't as good as it - point differential is a better predictor of future success than W/L record. This season, yeah, except for the 1st quarter in Cleveland and the Hornets game, they have been overwhelming teams. But it doesn't matter if Garnett doesn't get his legs back.

----------

Philly lacks shooters. Like Chicago or Charlotte. Teams without good outside shooting will be in a world of pain to score when facing the Cs.

if you defend well every game you always have a good chance to win a game. If you defend well and win with ray allen with 5 and kg with 3 than you are a contender. Proud of our defense. Let's stay heathy.
