saw a bunch of articles saying, "why did OKC extend sefalosha?"

bunch of people on here made positive comments about him this summer and I was 100% behind you there. He was impressive in Chicago and Sam Presti is the man for getting the Bulls to give him up for the 2009 1st Rd pick(taj gibson). Presti knows Thabo's a Spurs type player with sick perimeter defense and a pretty decent shooting range. Bogans, Mason, and Manu are all up for grabs this summer and depending on negotiations and health might go after Thabo.

bologna? check out the rerun of OKC/LAL on NBAtv later this morning. Thabo Sefalosha would make Bruce Bowen proud. HOUND DOG.

Acquiring a player like Thabo for one of their two extra late 1st rounders was really smart.

Locking up Thabo for 4yrs/13.8M was even better.

They have a starter/6th man at a price that won't hurt their chances to keep Durant, Green, and Westbrook as they come off their rookie contracts.

He's a Spurs type player. He's also a Presti type player, who has been extended for the future and will be part of their core as their primary defensive specialist. We're not getting him (I don't know if that's what you're saying, but it seems that way). People doubted the extension because he's not exactly a star, but it made sense from a cap POV due to the cap hold of his contract. He's a hound though.(And the Only Swiss player in the league. Gives me another reason to root for the Thunder)

Be careful talking too kindly about Sefalosha. You'll get flamed by a million Mahinmi sympathizers for even contemplating trading him. IAN MAHINMI IS THE FUTURE!

I assume he prefers Sefolosha...
great guy, could really become a defender like Bowen. and he's much more talented with the ball than Bowen. but this shooting....jesus. one of the worst mechanics in the whole NBA. that's why he would never be a Spurs type player, even if 95% look like Spurs material.

When a player like Desmond Mason has made it in the NBA for as long as he has I know a guy like Sefolosha can! Mason has the worst mechanic I've ever seen.

don't get me wrong, Thabo will be in the NBA for many years. he is good. but I can't see how a SF with his lack of a 3pt shot could fit with the Spurs.

Yea, I understand what you're saying.

But anytime we bring up a jacked up shooting mechanic I just have to mention Desmond Mason somehow. That guy is awful.

yah i mentioned his extension cause i'm fully aware that he's locked up. i'm calling presti a genius for trading for him and subsequently extending him. i'm just posting cause i know people were praising him here and i saw him play really well on kobe last night. figured realistic analysis/praise was more productive than praising theo ratliff till i realize he has more offensive fouls than blocks. thabo is a stud. just a simple post.

but btw he's a 2 guard and he has a shot. what's with the ragging on his jumper? it's not amazing but it's not non-existent. and his range is improving.

ANYWAY, who's pumped for this week's back2back? B2Bs suck but it's utah/portland. should be good games? plus game 1 is on 4 days rest. game 2 should bring interesting rotations due to minute managing.

first time witness to what this kid could do and WoW he played stink on shit defense hahah no but really i just posted something on the lakers and alot had to do with the refs letting this guy play defence on mrs kobe, and not giving him the raja bell treatment!! what a defender this guy is. i think the spurs would love to grab him but okc would be dumb to give him up.
