i tried to play online a bit earlier but it was L.A.G.G.Y. and completely ruined it for me.

Playing offline though it seems like its added a few new things and I just can't get enough of the machete. The new special infected are cool as heel too. The Jockey is particularly annoying and the charger is hilarious.

I'm not one of the people angry at Valve for putting out a sequel this quickly so I say bring it on and I'll pick it up.

Anybody know how chill, or not, the OG L4D community eventually ended up? I don't have any friends to play L4D2 with and I don't want to get the game if playing with strangers means I'll be playing with a bunch of dumbasses.

Ok i like the demo, i had fun, But the things i didnt like were the stupid assholes on the game. Like when i would go in a game there would be atleast one stupidfuck betraying and killing us., Then when i vote for the player to get kicked no one else would vote lol. Other than that i dont really see a huge diffrence from the first l4d other than the new zombies and frying pans.

I actually like it for the fact its more arcade-y. I don't think its a bad thing to have a game that doesn't take itself too seriously. Its not like you can be realistic when depicting the zombie apocalypse.

I'm not much of a fan of COD, don't get me wrong its a great game, but its not my style. I'm much more drawn to this kind of shooter, fast-paced and full of zombies.

They are completely different games and they aim to accomplish different things.

CoD is a tactical shooter that trends more toward realism and twitch-shot accuracy.

L4D is a much more team-oriented game (although CoD is obviously very team based at higher skill levels) that is more about awareness and dealing with concerted attacks rather than roving around sniping other players from an entrenched position.

Just got it and played through Dark Carnival, its fucking sick. It more of the same, but a lot more thought went into the levels and there is a bit more challenge (I think).
