The Spurs need this win if they have any hopes of catching the Suns.

Can they do it?

Discuss.

this is a game they need to use duncan
he has been back a few games
let him work out there

Tek_XX
04-18-2005, 06:55 PM
Let's forget about HCA against the suns becuase that ain't gonna happen. But i agree we need to work Duncan out, see exactly how he's progressing, get him used to the action. We should rest Manu as much as we can, see what the big dog can do.

hendrix
04-18-2005, 07:01 PM
I also thing the Spurs should forget about #1 spot. Play it cool, play the bench at maximum.

Maybe he's trying to get a feel on whether he should keep Beno or Mike Wilks for the PO roster.

is it any wonder why tim always gets hurt against this team?

they man him up like no other
make him work just to breathe out there

guys, no biggie that theres no TP

this gives the beno haters and lovers something to look foward to

Pop is trying to get Denver into 6th seed
If SA loses tonight, Phoenix clinches and Denver will win tonight because Phoenix will not care.

timvp
04-18-2005, 08:09 PM
Spurs look like they are in vacation mode. Hopefully it's just because they are happy with their seeding and ready for the playoffs.

GRob came to play. Very nice shooting.

Players/ Pop don't seem to give a shit as they're laughing into the locker room down by 10. Pathetic.

IF SA does not win tonight, I do not think this team can win championship.

They are pulling that Lakers crap where they say they can turn it on once the playoffs start...that shit don't fly.

PHoenix or Dallas are playing their best ball going into playoffs and SA has been pretty average for the last month or 2.

Spurs have never had a swing player that could take Bonzi on the blocks and abuse him. Robinson is going to be a big, big matchup problem for most teams if he's hitting his shot.

:lmaoX1billion The Lakers were, like, saying it in January. :lol Take a Valium, Jim. You must have some around the office. The Spurs always rest and rotate when their playoff spot is set. In '03, they put Tim and Jack on the DL for the last game. :lol

Spurs clutch players never touched the ball...
but you know something?
We can't blame Horry entirely...
You have to blame POP for designing that bullshit play and blame the entire DEFENSE for not coming through in the last two minutes.
It's a total embarrassment for the coach to experiment with Parker being sat down and Horry given the go ahead for a possible win...

td4mvp21
04-18-2005, 09:34 PM
We should have 1 second on the clock. The clock started early, and Miller caught it with .4(yeah its very ironic) left on the clock. I'm appalled at how many times we have gotten a loss because of an error on the refs/staff's fault. It's ridiculous. It should be our ball. I'm not gonna let this one go very easily. Pop should have been more ascertive because there should DEFINITELY be more time. If you mess up, you either count it and give the opposing team time, or you redo the play. Simple as that. None of this "well the home crowds cheering" crap. I certainly hope the referee situation is fixed by next season because it certainly is not working this season.

One point to make before anyone accepts this call. MEMphis controls the clock, yes the clock started early but that's not our problem. I would love to see the rule book to see if the refs have some overruling power to declare a shot good even though time expires.

Spurs have never won the title after winning 60 games. In fact, in my mind, our two most disappointing exits were the 60 win years: once vs. Houston back in the mid 90s, and last year against LA.
