Not only does Uncle Spam take my money, I get to pay Beyer Mechanical to replace my outside a/c unit at a pretty penny tomorrow...*sigh*

They better bend over backwards....

Don't feel bad....I've recently inherited my own, and they'll be here bright & early 5/9 to tear out all of my ceilings, replace all of the duct work and install a brand spanking new packaged unit.

I want back-hand springs for that one. Talk about sticker-shock... :( :wow

Oh, and did I mention having to replace the electrical box? :cry

Are you using Beyer? They had to fix our evaporator coil 3 years ago. I was hoping it was that cuz it's still under warranty. Anyway, I was very pleased with them and the workers are extremely nice and did a great job.

My house is about 15 years old and it's at that age where stuff needs to be replaced. Bah.

There goes your season tickets! :lol

I'm using Gillette....they have their own sheet metal shop and gave me a way better price for all of the duct work.

I'm hoping to recoup some of the $$ from the full playoff sets of tickets we bought....

Air conditioning? Shit. I can't feel for you much there. I've never had air conditioning. I don't live in Texas, but it's nothing but a luxury.

I'm sure that owning a home is expensive though, both for the necessary things and the luxuries.

Where do you live Brodels? Air conditioning is not a luxury in Texas. You can't survive with all the humidity.

People lived in Texas before air conditioning, just like people lived in Maine before the furnace was invented.

oh! Well, then, I suggest you follow SW's link!

I think I've read that you can use Borax to get rid of them. Or just google "how to get rid of sugar ants"
