12 points and 2 steals against the Spurs.

Okay, how the hell is it possible that an undrafted rookie toy so easily with out veteran players?

Well, I'm not surprised that its possible.

What I'm really wondering is, how bad are Mahinmi, Haislip and Hairston such that they can't even get a chance to ride the bench? Is this just Pop's bias.

Also, what's with Bogans and Ratliff. Bogans was put it but nothing really changed, he's completely inept in offense and he's not long and quick enough to compensate. What about Ratliff, we had a lot of trouble in the interior, yet he never got on the court.

It's obvious that the Spurs can't protect the paint because they're not quick and long enough to do so. It's a layup drill for opponents now that they know that nobody is going to contest their shot.

Well theres alot of good players that are undrafted like finding a diamond in the rough its 1 and a million that one will actually be able to produce. Also Ratliff never got on because we need him for tonight against a team with some real size.

Utah has a lot of injuries right? It's probably why Mathews is getting a chance to play and he's done well with his limited minutes.

I'm more concerned that he ran circles around Jefferson.

Matthews is a nice player; actually thought he might be someone the Spurs could take a flyer on in the second-round.

The Jazz's bench is pretty depleted, so good on him for taking advantage of the opportunity.:tu

This is par for the course. The Spurs have a habit of making very pedestrian players look like All-Stars.

He played because CJ Miles is injured..

It's funny how a young swingman can just spark a team like that..no idea why Pop doesn't believe in it, especially when our young guy actually has some NBA experience..

Here's my point, if an undrafted rookie can run circles around a veteran on a 15M/year salary then it just might be the realm of possibility that Mahinmi, Hairston or Haislip could have made a good contribution.

I gotta agree with you on this one. Bogans is like a poor man's Udoka.

I know it's only a few games in, so I won't hit the panic button just yet. Our team is moving at half speed right now. We have to got to be slowest team in the league.
