Classic Steve Javie horseshit. The MEMPHIS clock operator started the clock too soon making Miller's buzzer beater no good (even though he easily got it off in 1.4). So, Steve Javie overrules everybody and says it's good.

WTF is that shit???? There is no way in hell Derek Fisher got that catch-turn-and-shoot off in .4 last year and nobody overruled that saying it wasn't possible. How can it go the other way?????

FUCK YOU STEVE JAVIE. OT would have been all Spurs. :pctoss

Just thought it might be the appropriate avenue to allow some of you all to vent this anger about Steve Javie and his cronies..

Can he make it any more obvious that he hates the Spurs?

I don't even think the refs have the authority to overrule the clock. Unbelieveable. The main reason I'm pissed is because I had SA -3.5 and they would have covered in OT.

He doesn't hate the Spurs come on.

Whats sad, Javie is OK. He is the best the NBA referees have.

Everyone else is like 5 rungs below him.

If by best you mean the most pompous, self-absorbed ref that thinks everybody came to watch him referee instead of people play basketball, then I completely agree with you.

No, I mean the best referee period.

Get over it, hes pompous because, he is good.

Name me a ref better than him.

Steve Javie best ref?

Inane. The best refs are the fair ones and Javie is not that. Always favors one team or the other.

I just think it is trash because if it would have been the other way, there is absolutely no chance that it would have been reversed for the Spurs. It was the right call, but there is just no way you can reverse what a home team shot clock operator fucks up. The same goes for the Spurs operator last year for Fishers miracle. It is not possible to catch-spin-and shoot in .4. The operator fucked up, no overruling made.

This such crap if you are allowed to overule when the clock starts to soon then why the hell can you not do it when it starts late it is insane. I understand that it was not as obvious in the laker game last year i had to break it down on replay to see that Fisher got more than .4 to shoot but the refs should have done their job that night by looking at the replay and overuling the shot. Maybe there is a conspiracy against the spurs since they are small market, this is just crap beyond belief they really owe them a reason as to why this happened.

Did I just wander into a Dallas Mavericks message board? "The refs hate us, woe is we, it's a conspiracy". If the Spurs were good enough to win in overtime, then they should have been good enough to hold onto a 5 point lead with a minute to go, or to not allow a layup and two wide open jump shots to lose to a team in a tailspin, or to not take a three pointer while tied and leave time on the clock. Miller had time to get the shot off, the Spurs would not have gotten the ball back with any time after the shot, they didn't need to go to replay since there was a malfunction with the clock, whether due to human error or not. How does this have any bearing on the outcome of the game?

Exactly.

Why are people crying over this?

Miller shot the ball in 1.4 seconds...he made it. They win.

Move on.

Ever since the good old days (i.e., ABA), I've always enjoyed watching Jess Kersey ref a game. He loves us. <wink>

They way I look at it is, The refs say the shot counted it counted. Nothing us or anyone else can do to change that.
