yea so i guess pippen was a better player than say hakeem in the 90s right? i mean pippen had what 6 rings to dreams 2? nevermind that pippen was second fiddle to MJ, just like Kobe was second fiddle to Shaq from 2000-2004...yea lets just ignore the fact the Pip had the GOAT and Kobe had the MDE.
Pippen wasn't All-NBA 1st team nearly every year like Kobe. You analogy is pretty off.

When it come to All-NBA/All-D 1st teams, it's basically Kobe & TD on one tier above everyone else for the decade. The tiebreaker is how Kobe has outperformed Duncan in the playoffs. Let's be real, you act like Kobe didn't go into SA and dunk allover the Twin Towers and destroy you guys in 01'. You act like Kobe didn't drop 3 10+ 4th quarters in 02' to beat the Spurs. You act like he didn't fly in from Colorado to drop 40+ on SA and lead LA over them in 04'. You act like he wasn't "doin work" on SA in 08' to prevent TD once again from repeating.

Of course, it isn't a perfect predictor - in that case, they wouldn't have to play the playoffs.

There are so many variables in your idea that close games are won out of luck. What is a close game? The definition varies for each person. A good team can battle back from 20 points and might come up a short....a bad team will rarely battle back from 20 so there is no loss counting against their close games record. East/West talent ratio. West has a higher quantity of quality teams.

Bottom line...the team with more talent and the better team will win FAR more close games than a shitty team. If you don't want to fucking believe this than God help you. No graph can fucking prove me wrong either....

Look, the bet should be easy to figure out.

Mogro says that close game wins aren't a good indicator of a teams skill, as the highest correlation is still only 60%.

Allanon disagrees, saying that the Lakers will win more close games, on average, then the graph says they should.

Just to make sure, they should set the percentage of games to a nice number... How about 75% Allanon? That is much higher than Mogros graph would account for.
