This isn't a Bonner bashing thread or anything like that, but while a few people are posting about trying to get some inside help for Timmy, I think someone here on ST mentioned trying a trade on the ESPN trade machine for Marc Gasol. I tried it myself and traded Bonner for Gasol with ease. Gasol's PER is greater than Bonner's and his contract is about 3 Million for 2 years. Bonner is about 3 Million for 1.

I think it would be a great pick up, but I'm not sure if Memphis would be willing to trade away another Gasol for someone who isn't as effective in the paint.

Still, if Buford could make it happen, I'd say pull the trigger.

Or Pop could just pull the "One Free Collusion" card out of his ass and get Gasol here for "future considerations".

That would be cool, but no way Memphis gives him up for Bonner.

How ejaculational would that be if it was Bonner for Gasol, straight up.

and then we can trade michael finley for Lebron James

and then Keith Bogans for D-Wade

Marcus Haislip for Chris Bosh

I think we'll be set then.........

No we'd also have to trade Ian for Dwight Howard.

I talk about Gasol 3 years ago in these forums when he was playing here in Spain.I said the he could be a good player for us.

People here said Oberto was better than him.......

Marc Gasol or Luis Scola are the perfect front court guys to partner with Tim Duncan. And they're both pretty cheap around $3million each. Marc Gasol is the #2 rebounder in the NBA and averaging 15 points on a 4 ballhog team.

We could have had Marc Gasol but Marcus Williams looked like the better prospect at the time. :depressed

I hate to say it but maybe away we can get him is if they include iverson in the deal since he wants out of Memphis right now but we'd have wait till december since iverson was a freeagent even though he is cancer for teams if they can get gasol and then waive iverson would be great :king

the Lakers would never allow their farm team to trade us a good player..
