Usually the m.v.p. is the person who has the most fun during the regular season... so its looking like nash has this one on lock once again.

Steve Nash for 3 time MVP

Nash playing fantastic basketball, leading the Suns to a great record with only one loss so far, 20 assists in his last game.

But I find it hard to believe that he would be viewed as the most valuable player in the league again.

Due to his lack of defense, I have serious difficulties believing he merited the his previous mvp trophies.

And, I think it's fairly clear that Steve Nash isn't even the best at his position.

Chris Paul is easily (imo) the best point guard in basketball, significantly better than Deron Williams (the second best and very, very good).

Hornets are going to have a hard time doing better than barely make the playoffs, if they even do that. And that is far from a given, especially the way that the Suns are playing, a team not expected to make the playoffs (taking away another spot).

Chris Paul is an amazing player. And any 20 pt / 10 assist player who leads the league in steals (I believe he does), shoots as well as Chris does, and creates so many open shots for his teammates (making them better) is a contender for the award.

Nevertheless, I would think that he probably falls below the first five I mentioned. But, obviously, that is very debatable.

It is very apparent that Bosh spent quite a lot of time in the gym, lifting weights and yet hasn't lost his foot speed.

He's an incredibly difficult match-up, can use either hand around the basket, very agile and athletic, great vertical, tremendous outside shooter, can put the ball on the floor, good passer and has really improved his rebounding.

I haven't decided what I think about Bosh's defense yet.
But the offense speaks for itself. 30 points a game and 10 rebounds a game will win an mvp.

lol these ratings are a joke
lebron even in the top 5. his team is sucking. chris bosh in the top 5. lol. he puts up empty stats on a team below .500. kobe's team is 6-1 without pau gasol and andrew bynum. melo i agree with and d-wade i agree with

There's no MVP in history who's once led his team to 121-63, if memory serves.

Nor has there been an MVP who lost to the 8th seed in the first round.

Kobe, LeBron, or CP3. That's about it. No one else is going to have a sniff of a chance at an MVP for the next 5 years, except maybe Dwight.

Dwight has more than a legit shot at MVP this year and I am thinking he could actually get it.

If the season so far is any indicator, I don't think LeBron's even in MVP consideration right now. It's questionable if they are even going to hit 50 wins.

Right now, they're 1 game above .500, that's one win ahead of the Bobcats. The strength of schedule isn't that high either. Their wins have come against bad teams whose total win record is 7 wins and 24 losses.

On the flip side, Melo 5-2, Kobe 6-1, Nash 7-1, Wade 5-1, Paul Pierce 7-1 all have stellar team records.

It's still early so maybe this is just a fluke. The Orlando game tomorrow will pretty much tell us where the Cavs are at.

If the season so far is any indicator the Suns are going to rival the 1996 Bulls for best record of all time.

I think these Suns are headed for around 57-65 wins provided there aren't injuries.

I know Lebron gets a lot of assists but at the end of games all he does is play out clock then jack up a three. Thats not a MVP.
