130 pts and not a defensive stop to be found.

I think calling them the Suns would be a stretch but I think that they are going to look a little like that in any game where they are without their defensive anchor and their go-to scorer.

Yeah...they were without their best defensive player and anchor in the paint...

Too bad TD is not as big of a defensive anchor as he used to be :(

Sounds good to me if they can win that way. I'll appreciate a win any way they can manage to get one.

Would there be something wrong with being.... versitile?

simple answer: Yes

I'll let you know if anything changes by January.

I'd rather see them play defense and score 90 pts a game than watch them play like they did against the Raptors. Being versatile is great but not at the expense of a solid defense. Almost every NBA champion of the past two decades has been a top 10 defensive team.

Don't mind Whisky Dog. He is just channeling his inner Sequ.

Difference is, we're looking like this EARLY in the season before our team defense has gelled. A lot of you guys don't realize how hard this system really is to understand...the defense is going to get better..it's just going to take time.

Don't really think you're cut out for "thread policing".

I get it. We would like to see the Spurs of 3 to 5 years ago on the court and doing what they did to win their previous championships.

Remember what the Spurs did against the Suns during their last championship run in '07? As I recall...beat them at their own game.

Spurs basketball has always evolved. The last time this team played a total, one deminsional system was in the '03 year.

And I'm not saying defense doesn't win games anymore. It's vital that this team improve and implement a solid defense. But I'm not going to treat or react as if a fast paced game is a plague if that style of play will get us the win.

Huge difference between the Spurs and the Suns is that the Spurs are not having fun.

The defensive anchor was Bruce, and now he's gone.
