Both Duncan, Parker doubtful for Wednesday game (http://blogs.mysanantonio.com/weblogs/courtside/2009/11/both-duncan-par.html)
By Mike Monroe

It appears likely the Spurs will face the Dallas Mavericks at AT&T Center Wednesday night without All-Stars Tim Duncan and Tony Parker.

Both players were non-participants in the Spurs' light Tuesday afternoon practice session and were officially listed as doubtful for tonight's game.

Both players are nursing left ankle injuries suffered in the Nov. 5 game against the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City.

Parker sprained his left ankle during the second quarter against the Jazz and left the court immediately. X-rays showed no structural damage and the Spurs officially termed the injury a mild sprain, but he has not played since.

Duncan jammed his left ankle at some point in the same game, but played 35 minutes and 27 seconds the next night in Portland. He developed discomfort during a Sunday practice session and was a pre-game scratch before Monday's game against the Toronto Raptors at AT&T Center.

HOpefully another big game from Manu and RJ, but we gotta play better D with Timmy D out.

Hold them out, and frankly WGAF about Saturday and OKC. If they wait until the next game after that, Tony has 11 days off, missing 3 games, and Tim 10 days with 3 games missed. We still have two 20 point scorers, and George does a nice job at the point when he starts.

It will probably put us behind the 8-ball little bit further, because i dont see the Spurs beating the Mavs without Tim or Tony, and they might struggle against the Thunder aswell - but if they're not 100% then obviously they shouldnt play regardless of opposition. But this team wont keep scoring 130 PPG, so they have to start playing some defense if theywant to pull some games out without those two.

I would like to see Pop give Haislip a run on Dirk... see what he has there, he may aswell since Dirk will go for 30+ on 15 FT's no matter who guards him.

The Thunder are worse than Toronto. They have a lot of talent, but no direction or leadership.

I'd be OK with dropping the Dallas game to get T&T more recoup time.

Rest time. Time to see others play. Make or break time.

Doesn't bother me if they're not playing at this time.

"Doubtful" doesn't mean they can't.

Im OK with dropping the Dallas game aswell.... but i dont see the Spurs going for 131 again - so if they let the Thunder score 120, then they will probably lose. OKC is capable of putting up big offensive numbers, especially Jeff Green who always goes nuts against he Spurs.

I would have enjoyed seeing Timmy and Tony out there as well as our other new guys. It's hard to believe they can have another high scoring night like they did last night.

I was really looking forward to this game. Now, not so much... Will be pleasantly surprised if we play some good D against Dallas.

No reason to rush our stars back for a meaningless game in November. A Dallas game late in the season would be a great measuring stick for this team, but right now who cares?

Spurs will roll the mavs without Td and Tp... Mavs play awful when teams are missing it's stars.

While I hate seeing Tim & Tony out, I'm excited to see more of last night's lineup. Like last season when we had so many early year injuries, guys are stepping up and giving some good minutes. Shit, even Bonner went all thunderball last night.

Now if we could only play some defense...

Pop won't play them if there is the slightest doubt about them being at 100%.

That's fine with me, though. No need to rush things this early in the season. Maybe the rest of our guys will surprise us and somehow grind out a victory.

The threes better be raining again if we hope to even come close to having a chance to win without Tony or Tim. We barely beat a very crappy Raptors team the other night and the Mavs aren't going to just let us waltz into the paint like they did. Without Tony and Tim, look for the Mavs to have an easy win, unless like I said, it rains threes all night.

Actually the Mavs, will play down to our level and end up losing!!:lol

Either way I would like to see Haislip get some action tonight against Dirk, he wants to prove himself, let him do it.
