Some 12 year old went 75 and 53 on Terminal the other day using nothing but the Javelin glitch. I shoot the guy from long distance and I die instantly losing my killstreak. It's stupid.

Not touching this broken game until it's patched.

Yeah, Domination on Wasteland is quite fun. You can punish snipers/campers easier on that map too. Harriers or AC-130 is pure bliss on that map.

Ok.. I know quality wise MW2 is most undoubtably better.. but after going back to World at War today I have to say I like WaW much better then MW2.. The knifing system is so broken in WaW and you typically just end up doing this stupid knife dance with the other guy.. and the tanks should of been a kill streak or not of been in the game at all.. and the mp40 is too powerful.. but MW2 is too damn easy.. Seriously I can be hip firing from a mile away and get a head shot.. In WaW you had to dead on hit the guy in the head to get a head shot.

How much easier is MW2? I was looking and most my friends were between a 0.60 and 0.85 k/d on WaW.. on MW2 I don't have a single friend below a 1.00 k/d.. Well except my cousin who for some odd reason was a 1.38 in WaW and a 0.94 on MW2.

You do not know it yet but its a VERY short map... You basically have to make it to the first room and hold you ground, as best you can for a while... once enough enemies are killed on the floor you can advance to the next room and at the end id the opening in the roof thats in the campaign.. it was a bitch for sure... good luck :makemyday

I have discovered that anyone will bitch about anything in this game if you are kicking their ass. Yesterday I was told that me running around with the shotgun was cheap (I was using the second shotty not the 1887s which I agree are cheap). So next match I decide not to use a gun at all and just run around stabbing people. I ended up going 28 and 13 without firing anything.. at the end of the match what happens? I am told that stabbing takes no skill and that I suck. So I spent the rest of the day using my shotty and knife.. Fuckem.

These same people, I guess, think it takes skills to sit in a bush with heart beat sensors and thermal and wait for someone to pass them.

I think there are some things that just piss people off sometimes. I hate bitches that use thermals and heartbeat sensors. I hate the little bitches that use thermals on wasteland and just camp out as far away as possible, especially in Domination.

I think that's what annoys me the most, is that some bitches don't even do the objective. They just want to run around and kill instead of completing the required task.

I do use akimbo on the 1887s, and I'm on level 70 but I'm trying to get the nuke, then once I do, I'm moving on to Prestige.

Just came across another glitch. The game acts like it's a tape and you are playing it in fast forward or something. Everything moves super fast. The voices are all chipmunk style. It's crazy. I just backed out to the dashboard and back in and it seems to be gone.

I did also.. I am going the route where I start with a gun and dont try another until I master it and I just finished the m4 and I am @ lvl 36 (lol)... I like this way cuz when you start using other guns you can get the xp bonuses and lvl up quicker in the 40-70 range

I'm doing the same. I did everything on the m4a1 except for the extended. That FMJ is crap, so now I'm on to the FAMAS. I really don't like it but it is rather powerful.

I was wondering what that patch was for... Glad they did that.. Tychriarc (spelling) never bothered fixing the MP40s which was a major flaw in that game.

Started playing as Twank says he does.. honestly that's pretty fun just going through the weapons one by one. I'm working my way through the Famas right now.. which I have to say I liked much better in Rainbow 6 vegas.

It's funny because we kept playing them and they kept calling us campers..you can't beat somebody at Domination and say they are campers. We kept securing all the flags. One of them kept going to the exact same spot all the time. I must have killed him like 15 times in the same spot.

The Chopper Gunner is disgusting. For my 26 kill streak, my Harrier destroyed 8 people, and my Chopper another 11.

This game sucks fucking ass. Seriously it is too easy.. and it's less about actual gun play and more about perks and killstreaks. I swear to God I'm sick to fucking death of every 30 seconds some new kill streak going on.

Also the chopper gunner and AC130.. I hope to God people that use that stuff aren't the same people that bitched about WaW and the dog kill streak as being to unfair.

Seriously the game sucks when you compare it to the past games. It's a great game for the masses because it is so easy.. but I have a hard time believing hard core players are happy with this game.

Get rid of the kill streaks.. or at least just have the typical 3,5, and 7 ones with 3 being recon. Cut down on the stupid perks, deathstreaks, and 50 different attachments..

Also.. give me every gun that is in the game in the start.. I hate it when a company makes you unlock shit.. I see why they do it but have an option.. Some people don't play this 2-3 hours a day and some people when they pay 60 bucks for a game want all the content there from the start.

I was a beast this past weekend. It was cold and I decided to be a bum this past weekend. Played a shit load Friday night, Sat, and Sunday. Got 5 nukes on different game types. Domination, Demolition, and Ground War. 2 of the nukes were only 2 games apart. It was pretty awesome. Trainwreck was there to witness 2 or 3 of them.

I'm well aware IW developed cod and cod2. I haven't played cod so I can't speak to its quality, or compare it to 4. I have played 2 and it was alright. More similar to 4 than the og cod, from what I understand, but nothing special. I certainly didn't run out to buy it after playing it at a buddy's house.

As far as comparing them to mw2- it looks like the whole series of games were fuckups on IW's part, that happened to be perfect by random chance. Or IW just flat out lost their talent sometime after 2007. Or just stopped caring as suggested by resistanze. All I know is that in terms of quality- mw2 is a fucking shit pile. On it's own and in comparison to the previous games in the series that I've played- even Treyarch's WaW.

I mean z0sa, read between the lines. I'm not truly suggesting that the previous games in the series were mistakes- obviously anything so technical would require them to know what they were doing. I'm just trying to illustrate my disbelief that IW could make such great games, as their latest game is so awful and broken. I'm being overly-dramatic about their complete fall from grace.

In short, I don't think IW today, whatever it is, could go back and make the games that they made when they were relatively hungry. Because of money, because of arrogance, because of apathy, whatever. I don't believe they have it anymore. That's the point.

I don't think MW2 is that bad. I know I'm kinda back and forth on the game (hate is to death one week and next week love it).. infact just a week ago I was looking to trade it in. But seriously IW was set up to disapoint on this one. COD4 was liked way too much.. fans were going to be disapointed.

Far as technical issues the only problems I have with this game is the lack of party systems and the fact if I try and find a game with more then 2 people someone always gets the boot.

Game play wise I just think there is too much. Seriously I would love to just go back to the old days where you didn't have perks and kill streaks. Just let me pick a gun and just play the game.

But it's still a fun game. I don't love the game but you have to be pretty anal to not even have fun playing it.

COD 2 was the best though... although I have only played the port on live of the first so I also can't comment on that one.

Just started playing live on Saturday. Epic. I'm at level 16. Its very addicting and I will have no life now. And will suck at school. But when I signed up for live, I didn't use my username that I had before signing up for live (because you get signed up of your username when setting up live) and i never logged back in, so I lost about 350 achievement points. not much, the only thing I really did was beat the campaign and a few special ops missions.

IW is so fucking stupid. What happened is they released a patch for 360 and ps3, but MS wouldn't approve it, as it solved absolutely nothing. So IW basically patched ps3 with a non-functional patch. They then designed a new patch for 360, which works for now, but they didn't release it to Sony. So now, for the time being, ps3 owners are SOL. They probably didn't even make a new ps34 patch, as Sony didn't tell them they had to. That sucks for ps3 owners. IW are a bunch of fucking assholes.

It leads me to believe that had Microsoft not stepped in and forced IW to get their half-assed shit together, we'd all have installed a patch that didn't work and IW would have told us to GFOS after the fact. Oh well, thank God for Microsoft.

Semi on/off topic... so I bought that MAG game for the PS3, and I bought the rocketfish PS3 controller that is shaped/designed similar to a 360 controller. As I've mentioned in some other places, never really played any of the playstations so the PS controller in general feels weird to me. Anyway - MAG controls are not customizable - and I guess it's common to shoot with R1 on PS controllers...? So that's equivalent to RB on the 360 controller... and that simply doesn't fly. So I'm trying the game with the normal PS3 controller, but my question is does COD in general use R1 as the fire button for Playstation?

Not on MAG... no idea with COD, I have it on 360 so it's not an issue. MAG has 5 or 6 preset button configurations... all with R1 being the fire button.

While most of you slept, drama struck Infinity Ward, the creators of the Call of Duty series, with allegations of "insubordination" from publishers Activision and the rumoured departure of the studio's two top men. This post will be updated throughout the day.

The news first hit yesterday afternoon, when G4 reported that IW heads Vince Zampella and Jason West had met with Activision, after which neither were seen from again by staffers and "a bunch of bouncer-types" showed up outside Infinity Ward's offices.

The situation between the developer and publisher had been described as "tense" for some time.

Things got interesting a few hours later, when updates to Jason West's Linkedin page revealed that he had ceased employment at the developer.

And then got really interesting when an SEC filing from earlier in the day revealed that Activision had launched an investigation into some allegedly iffy conduct at Infinity Ward, including "insubordination" and "breaches of contract" that affected "two senior employees" at the studio.

That's everything we've heard, so far. Fascinating stuff for the innocent bystander. But what do we actually know?

What's Been Rumoured

- That IW bosses Vince Zampella and Jason West have been fired. Neither the pair nor Activision have issued statements regarding the issue, so the nature of their employment (or departure) is yet to be confirmed; remember, the Activision SEC filing only mentions "two senior employees", it doesn't name names. Indeed, we haven't heard anything from Zampella regarding the situation.

- That Activision sent security guards to the Infinity Ward offices. Who those men are, who sent them and more importantly, what they were doing there have yet to be determined. All we have are reports that they were "bouncer-types", nothing more.

What We Know

- The Activision SEC filing is legit, and is concrete information. They are serious allegations, and will probably result in a major lawsuit.

- Jason West no longer works at Infinity Ward. His Linkedin profile page is legitimate, and clearly states that he ceased employment at the studio in March 2010. We just don't know why/how he no longer works there.

That's it. Be sure to separate the two when considering the situation, as things are still incredibly murky. We will of course update you (and this post) throughout the day as we hear more on the situation.

That's probably a good thing - IW's main men were insulting Treyarch and acting like they were easily one of the best developers out there (some of that has to do with their unrealistic fanboys). Their iffy testing during development proves they have a long way to go to reach Valve or Blizzard's level. But as far as the gameplay goes, at least it's something other than a bunch of God awful maps, half baked, cheap and/or non-functional perks and a multitude of glitches.

I finally got MW 1 this weekend and then went and got MW2. I like the campaigns more than the multiplayer so waiting to pick up the games when they're much lower in cost is a far better value for me. Really enjoyed the MW1 campaign. Enjoying the MW2 campaign so far as well.

I loved both MW's campaigns, and despite what others say, the online stuff is fun. I've now had some time with Black Ops online, and while it's better than WAW, it's still not as good as MW2. The game play is slower and killing people is harder in a bad way. Granted I play a lot of hardcore mode on MW2, but even on Black Ops Hardcore mode it's not the same.

I don't know how many times I've shot someone dead on as they're sprinting towards me only to have them knife me dead. Really?

I found I did adapt quickly to Black Ops though because of the slower pace. But it's still not right imo.

The only FPS I ever played a lot of multiplayer for was Fear. I have too many games waiting in the wings to devote too much time to multiplayer and I only have 2 weeks to really play before school starts up again and robs me of time.

I've beaten more games in the past couple of weeks than I have in the past 7 months I've owned my PS3. :lmao

After I finish MW2, I'm going to start Dead Space then finish Arkham Asylum. I still have Dragon Age sitting around and I should finish KillZone 2. I may even finish Heavy Rain.

But GREAT purchase Manny. cod4 is the still (by far and hands down) the high-water mark of the series. WaW was under-developed and ugly, Black Ops was still sorta ugly, good on story, but very linear and on rails, mw2 was a jockular, incoherent shit-fest, made for ignorant people without attention spans. cod4's campaign still strikes me as awesome; it's gorgeous, open/dynamic in its gameplay and coherent as a story. It ushered in this generation of Call of Duty games and unsurprisingly remains the best; the next cod game I buy will need to re-invent things ala cod4, otherwise, I'm done with that series.

The mission where you have to dispatch the 10 juggernauts using only explosives and a knife was so fucking frustrating. At least in the Wet Works mission you could flash bang and take em out with the barrett.

The Black Ops SP is pretty long for todays standards if you can get into it.

I'll run through an entire cod game in about two hours if I'm playing on normal.

Significantly longer than that on vet.

Frankly, 'the storytelling' found in the FPS genre doesn't lend itself well to length. And the whole cost/hour thing doesn't really matter; the best video game memory I have from 2010 was about 20 seconds worth of a Mass Effect 2 playthrough- In other words, it doesn't matter how long games are, it matters how long they stay with you.

But yeah, turn the difficulty up and watch your game take longer to beat.

I ended up selling Red Dead today. The game looks fun, and we've had some fun on Free Roam, but it's a time consuming game and I only get to play when my kids are asleep, ie never.
