okay, for years now this has been an on and off problem, but over the past 7 or 8 months, its been fucking horrible, but for no reason, i constantly wake up in the middle of the night, and it fucks with my sleep. whenever i (rarely) make it through an entire night without waking up, i wake up in the morning feeling refreshed and ready for the day. but this shit totally fucks with me. even if i only wake up for like 5 or 10 seconds and fall right back asleep, i still wake up feeling like a week old turd in a soggy sandwich

why
does
this
fucking
bull
shit
happen
it
is
mother
fucking
annoying
what
the
fuck

Are you a snorer or overweight? It could be sleep apnea.

is it possible you have sleep apnea? (sp?)

Have people told you that you snore when you sleep? It's possible that is what is waking you up / messing with your REM sleep cycle.

If not, you might try taking the amino acid L-Tryptophan right before you go to sleep. It has helped me.

Before sleeping, try some light reading, perhaps some minor Dickens, or maybe The Velveteen Rabbit.

Then have a glass of warm milk.

Make sure you have soft, comfortable PJ's.

And fluff up your goose down pillow.

Big News About the O:

This has to qualify as one of the more exciting stories of the year: turns out, sexual pleasure is so damn healthy, someone ought to be bottling it as a cure all. Too good to be true?

Later in the article it says that 32% of the 1,800 surveyed who masturbated nightly were able to fall asleep more easily. Hormones, stress, relief, etc. It's not as out there as you think.

Have you seen your doctor about it or considered having a sleep study done? There are a lot of things that could cause problems, some of which could be regulated or treated. And if you aren't getting regular, good quality sleep, it really can affect a lot of your daily health and can take a toll on your long-term health.

When I started anti-depressants and started sleeping more fully, it was like a total 180 in my day to day life because I physically felt so much better and mentally was better able to focus and concentrate.

I've had a hard time getting to sleep for most of my life. However, I ahve had the waking up in the middle of the night problem as well. This has usually occured when I was going through an anxious period or something was really bothering me.

I have the same problem, I wake up like 3 to 5 times per night, sometimes I can't even get back to sleeep. My friends tell me it's stress.
