Lets start something positive

my number one reason:

1) Bruce Bowen will do his homework and learn every single Caramello move there is, resulting in Anthony's dissapearance from the entire series

2) Carmelo has bad hair.

6. The only key players on Denver with deep playoff experience, Camby and Martin, both fell to the Silver and Black, and have psychological hangups to this day with those colors, and a certain #21 that wears them. ;)

The Spurs defense will start to get serious, along with Pop and Co.

Duncan being back also will keep Nene and others from getting alot of those garbage points that they got in Denver.

Najera also being gone helps also.

Good point about Najera. He's nasty...I'm glad Tim won't have to face his defense.

It's like he's the illegitimate love-child of Bill Lambeer and Malik Rose or something...

Denver's court is really weak color, televises poorly, the pale blue is weak. Spurs will play only the minimum of 2 games there.

Carmelo had a poor playoffs last season against a team that wasn't known for defense. In 4 games against the Wolves last season he averaged only 15.0 ppg, 4.25 TO PG, and shot only 32.8% from the floor. Playing against Bowen will provide different problems for Anthony then Hassell or Sprewell. Bowen has almost no offensive duties so he could focus almost 100% on defense and irritate the heck out of Anthony.

In four games last season against the Spurs, in Denver Anthony averaged 10.5 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 2 TO, 28% from the floor, in 26.5 mpg. In San Antonio, Anthony averaged 19 ppg, 4 rpg, 1.5 TO, 48.3% from the floor in 30 mpg. That was last season.

This season, Anthony averaged at home, 21 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 0.5 TO, 35.3% from the floor in 35.5 mpg. In San Antonio, he averaged 14.5 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 3.5 TO, 25% from the floor in 35 mpg.

I think Anthony is the key to their success. He usually shots a low percentage from the floor but he gets to the line often. If Bowen could force him to shoot between 32-35% I think he has done a good job. Anthony will take his shots no matter what so he'll take some bad shots. Keep a hand in his face and try to force him baseline or force him to take a jumpshot. Bowen cannot let him drive towards the basket, the Nuggets have both Martin and Camby that are good offensive rebounders and they will attack the basket.

And talking about Camby. Martin is a wild card. He has games where he's great and then he'll have games where he's bad. But Camby is always very active on the boards. His defense is also a key part in the Nuggets success. Limit the offensive rebounds and contain Anthony and the Spurs should win this series 4-0 or 4-1.

The key to Denver's success isn't 'Melo, it's Andre Miller, and he's given Tony the fits this year.

The Frenchman better bring it.

In spanish is "little boy" and i'm gussing is the same in portuguese, so it's intentional.
