the first game was garbage

it was a beautiful shiny new sports car on the outside, but once you sit inside and take it for a drive, you find out it's engine is shitty and has a top speed of 40 mph

It wasnt that bad but your somewhat right, I couldnt get into it, I tried playing it on several occasions, just didnt do it for me. Traded it in after about a year of sitting on it.

i hated the first one the climbing and moving around the cities was awesome but the fighting was terrible

I heard some reports that the second one is in fact a lot better and yes the first one was a bit hard to get into

1st was good... repetitive? yes. I loved the combat system and the harder enemies assuaged the repetitive gameplay a bit.

I agree but I heard an interview with the developer that they scraped the last engine and moved onto another that wasnt repetitive. Ill prob pick up a used version of this game.

I liked the first one, but I'll wait on the second one. I judge games by replayability, AC1 was played once and once only.

OK, I'll say this to start off with, I havnt lost interest in it yet. I've put in more time in this game than I ever did with the first one.

There are alot of quests to do and the story line just seems more interesting to me than the 1st one.

So far it seems like a game you play once, then maybe 1 more time to try and complete everything. After that, its a trade in game.

Having said that, after about 3 hours of play, I popped in another game.

Not giving up on it just yet though.

Yup. I just took this game back, took me about 6 days to beat it. Got 45 of the 50 achievements on my first play-through. Its a decent game, controls get a little buggy and the game still gets repetitive. The surprise ending almost made the whole thing worth it to me though. For sure only a rental game.

I rented the first game and force myself to try to like it but I couldn't, It was one of the few games I sent back unbeaten.

I'm skip on part 2.

No way I could beat it in six days, I only play 1-2 hours a day max and not even every day.

I've been playing the shit out of this game. Haven't touched mw2 for a week.

It's good. Like not 'good' as in it's better than the first one... but good as in it's a rock solid, high-quality gaming experience. That said, by comparison, it's exponentially better than the first one. Probably the most fun I've had with a game in 2009 including mw2 and Shadow Complex.
