This is the same shit that happened last season. Paul goes down with a minor injury and the Hornets have to carry on without him. The differences now are the two rookies, who are beasts.
It doesn't sound that bad if it's 1-2 weeks. :wakeup
This is essentially worse than a 2-3 month absence. He'll come back in a couple of weeks and lead the Hornets to mediocrity throughout the season. Preventing the Hornets from any worthwhile draft picks.

Things are about to get pretty fuckin ugly for 121-63, as if they aren't ugly enough as is :lol
And I honestly thought they improved the roster and would win 50 games this year... Okafor > Chandler, added some young legs with Collison/Thornton too.
They'll be 3-8 (should be 2-9) after tomorrow night.

I hate seeing a player that good getting hurt, but if they don't get him any help it's going to happen again. He is being driven to exhaustion because the front office is incompetent.

Sons, this makes me giddy as fuck. We can only hope that he gets a staph infection somehow, and they have to amputate his whole foot. Then, while during the surgery, the doctor accidentally sews his vagina shut, and he drowns on his own discharge.

SCrewing Paul my ass. He has an all star PF, a top 10 center, one of the best shooters in the world (Peja), and a lot of youthful energy with Collison, Thornton, and Wright... hell throw in Armstrong. Then he has seasoned vets like Marks/Posey.
Give Lebron, Wade, or Kobe this team and they're competitive at least.

The team does suck, but the talent argument is pretty weak. If Paul is that good, he certainly should be able to take West and Okafor and be winning.
Lebron James took the Cavs to the finals with:
Shannon Brown
Daniel Gibson
Drew Gooden
Larry Hughes
Zydrunas Ilgauskas
Dwayne Jones
Donyell Marshall
Ira Newble
Sasha Pavlovic
Scot Pollard
Eric Snow
Anderson Varejao
David Wesley
If Paul is on the same level as Lebron, then you are telling me that West/Okafor/Peja is worse than Big Z/Larry Hughes/Drew Gooden? Chris Paul has much more talent than Lebron.
Duncan/Parker/Ginobili vs Paul/West/Okafor. If Paul is that good, you are telling me that the difference in Parker/Ginobili + very average team and West/Okafor + very average team is titles vs not making the playoffs?
Get real.

Paul could miss three weeks or a month (http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=AsCMbdiU1jbXS4g6eTO0Dt68vLYF?slug=ys-paulinjury111309&prov=yhoo&type=lgns)

After further evaluation on Saturday, New Orleans Hornets point guard Chris Paul is expected to be on crutches for two weeks and could miss three weeks to a month with a severely sprained left ankle, sources told Yahoo! Sports.
There was no structural damage found in an MRI administered on Saturday, but the severity of the sprain pushed back the original belief on Friday night that Paul could return within one to two weeks.
“It’s just really sore right now,” a source said.
Nevertheless, Paul is hopeful that aggressive treatment and sheer determination can speed up the timetable and get him back to the Hornets as quickly as possible. The Hornets are 3-7, and must now turn to rookie point guard Darren Collison and third-string Bobby Brown. The Hornets traveled to Atlanta for a game on Saturday night.
“Even with the bad situation, his attitude is not “Why bother?” one source said. “It’s his team and he knows that. He doesn’t want to let anyone down. He’s determined to get back as fast as he can.”
Paul injured the ankle when he appeared to land on Blazers center Joel Przybilla in the third quarter. After clutching his ankle in pain, Paul was eventually helped off the court and to the locker room by his teammates.
Paul’s injury was the latest setback for the Hornets, who fired Byron Scott as coach on Thursday and replaced him with general manager Jeff Bower. Paul had grown close to Scott and was upset by his dismissal.

Chris Paul: (Ankle) Undergoing Further Tests (http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=rotowire-hrisaulnklendergoing&prov=rotowire&type=fantasy)
Paul (ankle) did not travel with the team and is undergoing more tests on his sprained left ankle, the Times Picayune reports.
It’s not yet known if the tests are routine or if the Hornets’ doctors suspect that the injury is more serious than previously thought. Paul was originally reported to have traveled with the team so this is a bit of a surprise. Darren Collison, Bobby Brown, or Devin Brown will start at point guard on Saturday.

sons that line right there is so pathetic and shows just how lost this team is thanks to Byron Scott not developing young players. they don't even know who the hell to start! ... our 2nd string changes more than any other team in the league.
Scott used to have Morris Peterson as the starter for 2 weeks, then he would drop him all the way down to inactive list, then bring him back as the 3rd string guard, then inactive again, and then back to starter.
