So I'm starting to think Memphis is just fucking with everybody at this point..that seems to be the only logical explanation here..

lol @ tinsley.

He would be my #1 player to sign for a rebuilding team too.

I honestly think that Memphis will do this then trade him to the Lakers for Famar. Not joking.

last chance for Tinsley and hope for the Grizzlies with AI gone. Good signing for both. Tinsley is a decent baller when healthy.

Grizzlies sign former Pacers PG Tinsley (http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=ap-grizzlies-tinsley&prov=ap&type=lgns)

The Memphis Grizzlies signed point guard Jamaal Tinsley on Saturday, adding a player with a checkered past and a 1 1/2 -year layoff to their troubled team.

The Grizzlies announced the signing in a press release before their game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Tinsley was bought out by the Indiana Pacers in July, but has not played in the NBA since the middle of the 2007-08 season. He was still under contract with the Pacers, but told to stay away from the team last season.

In his seven seasons with Indiana, Tinsley averaged 10.4 points and seven assists. The assists average puts him seventh among active players.

since they have too much talent they want to suck by signing bad players. its a good plan. seeing how blazers OKC built their teams it was taking 3 seasons and then playing well

WTF are the Grizz doing? First Z-Bo, then AI, now Tinsley, coupled with 2 ball hogs in Mayo and Gay. Are they going for the all-cancer team???

Wallace only looks at the stat sheet. What are intangibles?

If the sum of your PPG > your opponent's PPG, you win obviously. There is nothing wrong with empty stat, much like ZBo fighting with Thabeet for a rebound, or Rudy gay chucking every time he touches the ball.

Mayo isn't a ballhog. The most shots he's taken in a game this year is 25 when he dropped 40 while shooting 2 ft's.

With Allen Iverson out indefinitely, the Grizzlies have signed free-agent guard Jamaal Tinsley.
Tinsley hasn't played since midway through the 2007-08 season.
"We are pleased to add a veteran playmaker with Jamaal's credentials to the team," general manager Chris Wallace said in a team release. "He will add experience and high-level passing ability."

AI is done in Memphis. Now the only question is, will he be Stephan Marbury'd or will he end up with another NBA team?

no idea what the grizzlies are thinking: first AI and now Tinsley. it looks like they tried to forge a contending team by adding junk together.
But i think memphis need another PG, especially considering Conley Jr's poor form.

Wallace is nothing but a smooth talker that bad owners hire to hide their crap. That's who he was in Boston, that's who he is in Memphis. No point in blaming him for the basketball decisions. He's very well rewarded for doing the job, so no point in feeling sorry for the guy either.
