Trying to settle an argument on another board.
I say it's a basketball town.

keywords:
LAKERS
UCLA
Kobe
Shaq
Phil
Wooden
Riley
Kareem
Magic

Which is it?

Pro football? yeah right.

LA is a 1)Laker, 1.5)Dodger, 2)USC football town.

Die hard fans for the Kings as well.. and they are looking good this year.

Galaxy are making some noise :|

who am i kidding. people only care about them now because they are in the MLS Finals. No one will give a shit about them once Beckham takes off back to AC Milan

Mojo... I think the Dodger fans are more faithful during the down times. Lakers have more bandwagon fans... but thats to be expected since they rebound to contention quicker. Lakers have the best ownership. While the Lakers were retooling and the Dodgers were building... LA was a USC football town. (Leinert/Bush years)

Now if you are talking in terms of titles... It's basketball. Lakers/Bruins by a landslide.

^ I agree with that.

There are still RAMS fans in LA that are arguing with ST Louis RAMS fans over the possibility of a return to LA at some point.
Some of those LA sports fans claim that it's a football town.
I called bullshit on that.

I am sadly a Rams fan... and I hated Shaw and Front-and-reary for moving the team.

I'm a native... Dodgers, Lakers, Rams, Kings... and I know ill get flamed for this, a UCLA basktball fan and USC football fan. As I was growing up they were both dominant. (Wooden years, OJ years)

Never waivered.... Never will...

Lakers trump everything in Cali.

Up here in the bay area we gives a fuck about the Lakers. Don't pretend you speak for the whole state. The Warriors and Kings still rule around here, loltastic though it may be.

When I have the misfortune of going to LA, I see way more Raiders gear than I do Rams gear. If anything, that town still leans towards the Raiders

No doubt about that. Raiders are bigger here than the Rams. By a long shot.

UCLA basketball is well behind the Lakers, Dodgers and SC football. Lakers are far and away #1.

Really?
I'd have probably voted Frisco a baseball town with football a close second.

That doesn't necessarily make them football fans.

I was just talking basketball-wise.

Niners rule all up here, hands down. Giants second. Then Raiders, Warriors, A's, Kings in that order...IMO

I go to a fair amount of Giants games and haven't ever met one that supports the Lakers. There may be some, but not many. Warriors are big around here, despite their shitty organization. I've been to a few Warriors games and those are good, knowledgeable fans who deserve a lot better than the shit that rolls out on the court on a nightly basis. (sorry Sjax)

Real Giants fans don't like anything LA. Fuck the Dodgers!!!

very true. In the case of LA, it's just as likely that you'll get robbed, shot, or raped by somebody in Raider gear who doesn't even know they're a team. They just like the colors/design
