A&M has the lowest collective basketball IQ I've ever seen, their coach being no exception. I don't care if it wasn't good for my bracket, that group of braindead fucksticks deserves to lose.

you're an idiot.
No, the idiots would be the ones allowing a defensive role player to create and make a game winning shot.

Fucking brutal. We controlled this game for the most part and had a 12 point lead with ball second half...only to give it up in 2 minutes.
Kramer did play a great game I must admit...

They had some real good d on sloan. I don't know if it affected him, but I didn't like turgdeon's rotations in the first.
...not to mention the lineup when Purdue made their run. Course, that was also a product of them hitting everything and us missing everything.

our gaurd play was just terrible, but ill give some credit to their defense because they were swarming us out there... sloans still our guy when the game is on the line and his inability to do anything out there resulted in us trying to force feed the post which ended up in like 3 turnovers by them jumping the pass.
ugh, just a frustrating loss.

We handed this game right to them, we were up pretty much the entire game. Whateva though, we have some good young players. It just sucks to see Davis go out this way.

I love how the ags lose in the most heartbreaking ways in the tourney (excluding UConn last year). Sucks to see Sloan and Davis go out like that.

Good day to be an A&M basketball fan.
FROM TEXAS A&M ATHLETICS:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TEXAS A&M BASKETBALL COACH MARK TURGEON REACHES AGREEMENT ON CONTRACT EXTENSION
COLLEGE STATION, TexasTexas A&M mens basketball coach Mark Turgeon has reached an agreement in principal to a contract extension with Texas A&M University, Aggie Director of Athletics Bill Byrne announced today.
Mark is a terrific basketball coach and an even better person, Byrne said. The Turgeons like Aggieland and it is important to Aggies everywhere that we reward him for a tremendous season and also maintain Texas A&Ms commitment to a championship-caliber basketball program. He is the type of man that a handshake and his word are good enough and that is why we are making the announcement today. He understands there are university procedures and regulations that have to be followed before an official announcement of the details, but let me assure everyone that Texas A&M appreciates the job Mark Turgeon has done for our basketball program and Mark appreciates the support from the administration and the community.
The finalization of Turgeons contract is pending approval by The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents. The Boards next regularly scheduled meeting is May 27-28.
Turgeon just completed his third season at Aggieland and has posted at least 24 wins in all three years with an overall record of 73-31 at A&M. Since the inception of the Big 12 Conference, no other coach has accomplished that feat. In fact, only Turgeons mentors at KansasLarry Brown (83 wins in 1983-86) and Roy Williams (76 wins in 1988-91) won more games in their first three years at a Big 12 school.
People that know me understand I am a straight-forward type of person, Turgeon said. Based upon conversations with Bill and the university administration, I feel comfortable in stating I will be the coach at Texas A&M. We have accomplished a lot, but we have a lot more that we want to accomplish here. Our players and recruits can see the commitment made to basketball and the future is very bright.
Texas A&M University and the University of Pittsburgh are the only two Division I schools to win an NCAA Tournament game in each of the last five years.
A Texas A&M mens basketball celebration of the 2009-10 season is set for Sunday, Apr. 11 at 5 p.m. at Reed Arena. Admission is free and dress is casual. The program should last about an hour.
The season highlight video will be shown and individual awards will be presented. Coach Turgeon will speak along with the senior players who just completed their careers as the winningest class in school history with 100 victories.
The Aggies finished 24-10, tied for second in the Big 12 with an 11-5 mark, and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the fifth straight year.
