This just occured to me as I was watching the replay on the dvr. If we simply replace RJ as the screener at the top of the key, and have Tony/Hill/possibly Manu come off of it, it should be RIDICULOUSLY hard to defend and would almost be an offense in and of itself. Could this be something that Pop will implement later as players become more accustomed to all the sets???

I'd just be happy if they had run the pick n' roll more often yesterday, period. The fact they were trying to run various people in the post almost exclusively is why George Hill was so damn passive in the first qtr, and the Spurs in general were having trouble getting anyone in the lane since they weren't having a screener.

TP and Manu are the only ones who can consistently get a drive going without a screen, and with both hurt we need to PnR more.

As for your plan, the question would be how capable is RJ as a screener.
