This is definitely one of those frustrating games that you look back on at the end of the season that you could have and should have won.

Probably, this was a very undermanned NO team that doesn't have a large front line and they just manhandled the suns. Gentry better let them have it after this one. Also Amare is becoming whiney like LBJ, he needs to STFU and play ball.

Whenever the ball went up, the suns players would just look up waiting for it to come down rather than box out, the NO players would just move to the basket and jump for a rebound, usually inside the suns players. I don't know how Gentry failed to correct such a fundamental flaw.

Hopefully they're all suffering food poisoning from some bad oysters.

Seriously, this is the worst D I've seen out of the suns, possibly as long as I've been watching them. You need to be able to f'in rebound to run and gun. They neglected the most important part of their system tonight. Also, I'm not letting Frye off the hook, he shot HORRIBLE.

I usually don't agree with you, but so far, he's been dogging it this year. He's had some ok games, but he refuses to push his limits. He's strong enough, he should be muscling people out of the way for boards instead of getting ready to run down the court before the rebound is secured.

Agreed 100%, Gentry better not react like Antoni, "Rebounding isn't the issue, we just need to shoot better and run faster."

And it centers around Amare, he's done absolutely nothing to deserve being named a team captain. If this problem is going to get solved, the "captain" is going to need to set a good example as dumb as that may sound.

I get the feeling they made Amare a captain just to stroke his ego to keep him from leaving. He definitely didn't lead by example tonight, but he's just part of the problem. I think Gentry did comment something about shooting better in the second half during half time. If in order to keep Amare they have to give him the idea that he's become a complete player worthy of being named team captain then keeping him is more trouble than it's worth. Whenever you have to start putting players before the rest of the team holding them to lower standards in order to keep them, that means the player needs to go.

I couldn't get it. Every time NO shot, the suns players would just look up and wouldn't box out, didn't jump, or anything. The NO players would just move in for position and on numerous occasions just jump behind suns players and snatch the ball away for the rebound. It's like someone instructed the suns to remain flat footed and not move the instant NO shot the ball. It was frickin' weird.

This loss pisses me off extra badly because if any road game this entire season they should win, it should be this one. A team with two of its best players hurt, a new coach, west in foul trouble, what the hell?
