Reason ESPN is running the Bulls/Pacers is cause it's Reggie's final regular season game. If the Spurs would've won on Mon night, I'm sure they would've had the game on.

What ugly fricking basketball.
Spurs shooting 18%, will have to bust their asses to get 15 pts in first qtr. in the face of TWolves' incredibly punishing defense.

Spurs are tired, saving themselves for the playoffs. :)

This game means nothing. Why are you worried so much about the goddamn game.

Beno is looking good, hopefully he carries this game into the playoffs.

Gonna need him VS Boykins.

him getting 8 points, Robinson 8 or 10 will be key to beating the Nuggets.

I personally think it would be shameful to lose to a Minnesota team that is going fishing in about a week. We need this game to fine tune ourselves for the playoffs and winning would be a good way to do that.

The Minny announcers sound like reporters covering a funeral. Its giving me some satisfaction that I normally wouldn't find watching the typical shitty road game.

At one point, one announcer asked the other, "How do you feel at this point." The guy responded, "I've moved from frustrated to angry." The other announcer responded, "I've moved from anger to acceptance."

So while you're watching the Spurs stink it up in a game they don't give a shit about, take some comfort from Minny's misery.

MeAndBobThrowChairs

well the games they have tried look how good they have looked. rockets, sonics, grizzlies at home, both the double ot wins and the hawks. They're just giving it up, they will turn it on.

they might not be able to play w/ each other again next season.

boutons
04-20-2005, 08:48 PM
Hey, homers, "it's only game", who TF cares about round numbers like 60 wins?

The Spurs offense is one of the most powerful in franchise history.

The Spurs are building their shooting momentum, from 20% in the first half all the way up to 38% to start the 4th quarter. 4th qtr, they blow out the TWolves.

Just curious, do the Spurs get paid for tonight, or is Peter Holt having also having hard time getting his pen going?

Minnesota won’t go in the PO, you know you’ll get the 2nd seed of the Western Conference. What will this game look like?

Damn that was some ugly basketball. I know the Spurs really weren't playing to win but I was pretty depressed that they couldn't get a lead with all the starters in there against the lowly Wolves.

The Spurs are definitely not entering the playoffs on a roll like they usually do. It's weird to see. They've never been known as a team that can just "flip the switch" but damn, I sure hope they can. At least the first two games are at home where they've played well all year. They definitely didn't seem to have any rythm out there tonight, even with the starters in the game.

Disturbing.

The big game would be then game 3, if the Spurs could bust ass, squeek out one there, they would sweep them.

Im not expecting that to be done, but it CAN be.

Make any excuse you want [injuries, fatigue, boredom, trouble with the wife,etc...] but the fact of the matter is the Spurs over the last month have been up and down. Like it or not this years version of the playoff Spurs are backing into the playoffs. I think we should all feel a little uneasy going aganist the Nugs in this first round. They've been rolling since the all star break and we're hobbling into the playoffs. Not a good thing at all.

Look if you want to stop being the forum bitch, you're going to have rub those two brain cells together and think instead of trying to thrust your prepubescent, knee-jerk conclusions on everyone.

In '03, the Spurs won 12 of their last 14 regular season games. The game they lost to Dallas was the token throwaway last game of the season, much like last night's game. That's called rolling into the playoffs.

This year, we've won 6 of our last 11 games heading into the playoffs. That's called backing into the playoffs. Even if we consider the last game of the season a throwaway game, we couldn't even grab a lead with our starting lineup out there. Forget grabbing a lead, the starters couldn't even trim a deficit.

I could care less about winning that game or how many minutes the starters played but when I see the starters in there, I expect them to at least look in synch.

Next time, think before you post.

It's called sarcasm TwoHandJam.

T-Park was responding to the quote that the Spurs are not entering on the roll that they usually do.

As far as I'm concerned, going on a roll didn't help much last year, so losing some games before the playoffs can't hurt this year.

It's a whole new Playoffs, kiddies! Spurs will win on Sunday. Mark it.

spurs havent had a solid win against a playoff team since what? febuary i think against houston...i'm just super worried about their offense, cuz there have been WAY too many nights where these guys cant find the hole and it gets UGLY. And if it ends up taking the spurs 6 games to beat Denver, then its gonna be a long long road ahead of them. I just hope they get their sh*t together in time.
