I did not see this on here. I thought it had some interesting points to discuss- that is, if someone really wanted to have a discussion.

This panic exists that suddenly the country is turning so away from its very fabric when it seems to me that the previous administration taking away people's rights and approving torture as an acceptable option are much more divergent from our principles as a nation than is trying to find a way for everyone to have health care.

Why?

That's a right-purdy flag-pin, Lou -- what's the over-under on an attempt at a political career now that you've been given the heave-ho?

If I had me some store-bought choppers like those, I'd be flashing the hell out of them too.

Some people actually like wearing the American flag because they respect what the flag represents.

Americans are obsessed about being American, about patriotism, about McCarthy-witch-hunting anybody who isn't blindly, robotoically, stupidly adoring of anything and everything American.

It's a smokescreen for being a uncivic, uncivil BAD citizen.

No. The previous administration only wanted to torture, not kill; simulate drowning, not actually drown anyone. Our fabric was woven with the muskets of guerilla fighters, just because we are fighting guerillas now doesn't mean we aren't truly Americans. DUH!

This administration wants a health program that will make us ration care, leading to death panels. Sarah Palin said so, and being out of a political office, she has more legitimacy and a reason to speak the troof.

And some people like wearing it because they like the money they earn doing so.
