about 3 days ago I posted a video in the Club about a game called Mass: We Pray... it was obviously fake but funny and disturbing none-the-less.

Anyway, it turns out it was another Viral PR stunt by the Makers of Dante's Inferno.

According to Gamespy they have done a prank for each of the 7 deadly sins.

First was a protest at E3 where actors chanted "Hell is not a game". Then, one that EA had to issue an apology for, was the "Act of Lust" Campaign (http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/93408-EA-Demands-Acts-of-Lust-With-Comic-Con-Booth-Babes) at Comic-Con in San Diego.

Later, select enthusiasts where sent real checks that they could cash and indulge in the sin of greed. Also, more recently they sent crates to different gaming journalists, making them believe it was possibly a demo, but it turns out it was a rickroll-playing box (It actually played the song :lol)

There's still a few sins to go, you have to admit they are pretty creative. :lol

The demo for this game is available for download. I played it last night, and while it makes no attempt to cover up it's God Of War influence, it is a smooth nice looking game (great frame rate that never slows even with a ton of enemies on screen). At the end of the demo I wanted to keep playing it. Definitely will be worth at least a rental.

I played the demo and was disappointed. I wish it would have tried to hide its GOW influences and tried to do things a bit differently however for the most part they didn't. The game is good to look at and it never slows down but sometimes the story seems dull. These problems might be simply because this was a demo or perhaps this game might be trying to hard to imitate what was successful with GOW instead of being its own game. That said I'd probably rent it too, just to see if the game as a whole is better.

I have read the "devine comedy" by Dante Alighieri. I'd have to agree. but there was no better way to make that into a game than a GoW type game. The Bosses are so epic.

The 9 levels of his hell where made perfect for a violent contemporary video game.

As much as people know me here for "bashing" religion, this is a great game. Probably THE best game to bring religion into the genre.... and yet "Thumpers" will still bitch about it because there are no flowers and sunshine.

They probably never have even read the poem to begin with and dont realize the game is barely even based off of it except by name and characters.

Hell, I'd even bet they dont even know the basic premis of the poem! Redemption of the soul.

for those that have never read the actual poem, here is a breakdown to get you up to speed. Keep in mind, this is just a breakdown, not the actual epic poem.

This will most likely turn into a 3 game series as the game is only based off of the first 3rd of the poem. It's called EPIC for a reason.

I really think it would be an awesome movie with the right director.

Here is the full discrition of the poem.

If you get a chance, I suggest reading the actual poem itself. Its epic.
