I like the optimism, and of course as a fan, I always hope we'll go undefeated through any stretch of time lol :hat

lets all think really positive and channel it towards the spurs, i think it would work. you know what pisses me off, that bostons old ass is playing with less injuries how is this possible, our dr's are doing something wrong

The schedule is really easy i think we should win at least 10 outta the next 12 games.

think about it, we lost in OT against the Mavs, and Boozer made the basket and one instead of the offensive foul. We are competing! Even with the injuries our record could easily be 6-4 or better. We are not, but we are a better team that our record indicates.

Sure, it's possible. We got the Wizards, Bucks, Warriors and Sixers at Home, and then our only away Game is against the Rockets.

Yeah, it can happen.

Why not take it one game at a time? The way this team is playing, its hard to predict what kind of effort to expect each game. I'd be happy if they could simply improve a little each game or at least show that they recognized what they were doing wrong in previous games and were making an effort to improve. Wins would be nice though.

The only game I see there that I'm comfortable saying is a win, is GS.

No Parker or Manu against the Wiz's perimeter is going to be tough, the Bucks are China to our US, the Sixers are a matchup nightmare with their athleticism (Although the departure of Miller is reason for optimism) and the Rockets are playing some really good, cohesive team ball; a team that can defend and run.. Crazy, ridiculous concept..

If they give us 3-2 or better, I think you've got to feel pretty good about this stretch considering the circumstances..

We gobbled their debt, not vice-versa.

Either way, our outrageous defense spending will be the deciding factor.:p:

Check.
Are you sure of that?
Being pissed doesn't necessarily equate to wins - playing better ball does.
Premature assessment based on evidence to date.
Unfortunately, the rest of the NBA doesn't care about that.

Nice try (post the opponents next time please), but a bit overly optimistic I think. If we go 3-2 or 4-1, I'd call it a turn-around, even against weaklings. In a way we're fortunate to be 4-6 - we've only played really well (put it together at both ends) in two games.

I'm going to go out on a slightly less optimistic limb and say we go 3-2, but lose to the Bucks (don't we always?) and in Houston. I think the Wizards will be a close win (we're about due for one), although we could blow them out as they are on a b2b. The Warriors will be a 3rd quarter blowout (b2b on the road for them), and the Sixers will be a solid win.

Let's make this a post your predictions thread, and do the same each month about a quarter of the way through (that way you get to see how we're playing before you put your arse on the line).

Spurs have been known to get a jolt of wins. I just hope everybody else picks up and not depend on whether Ginobili is healthy or not. 5-0, we can do it!

Would be nice to go undefeated for the rest of this month, BUT we play the Bucks, so it won't be possible (unless RJ knows their secret). :p:

I have some hope to beat them this season since Bogut won't play. I know we have problems with them since the Big Dog but Bogut give us a hard time in the last 3 or 4 seasons

I certainly won't complain if we go undefeated through this stretch, but it might be a little too optimistic.
There is still a whole lot of team chemistry to go through IMHO.

The Dallas loss was not a bad loss. The team was gelling. They were making the extra pass, and Jefferson was getting more shots. The Utah game seemed ok if they could have kept Dal off the FT line. Once the Spurs find roles for Jeff, and Mason they should start being more consistent. I still think this is the most talented Spurs team EVER.

That the team is slowly beginning to gel cannot be disputed, and I am glad for this.
But it might be a little premature to expect all wins through this stretch, especially without Manu for a week.
Yet I am heartened, dispite the win/loss record, that they are finally starting to gel together and that they are starting to play some D.

Yeah their D is looking good. I don't think it is the fact that they are a competitive team as much as they aren't playing that good of teams. Except for Houston, they match up pretty good with the other four.

Waddup 92120. Yeah, I know the Spurs are on a 3 game losing streak. But it's no comparison to the streak the Wiz are on :lol

The Wizards haven't beaten the Spurs in 3 years. With Manu out and an out or gimpy Tony, the Wiz see an opportunity to break their 3 year losing streak to the Spurs. They're coming in tonight thinking Win.

I am not all to concerned about their record....sure, we all love wins......but I am more noticing that they are getting better on the defensive end, and the offensive is showing signs of getting a little cohesiveness. If they can stay at or near the .500 mark through 20-25 games and show improvement, I like the Spurs' chances down the stretch and in the playoffs.

Opening game FAIL. :lol

Dude, you've got to check if teams are on a b2b - across the league teams lose a ridiculous % of b2bs. Unless there are very strong reasons to pick a team on a b2b always go the other way.

BTW, why have you switched your avatar to a pic of Kobe looking like a criminal? Lamar suited you much better! ;)

BTW - more and more I think we should start Bogans most games. Even if he only plays a few minutes, starting Bogans-Dice-Duncan sets the defensive tone of the game right from the tip and makes us far more formidable at that end.
