I say Dallas trade Dirk to Spurs this year and Spurs trade both Dirk and Tim to Dallas next year. Then both Dallas and Spurs are happy.

It's a shame to see Timmie go out like that. The Spurs front office should buy him out and allow him to sign with the lakers so he can go out a winner. :)

I have no problem with that...As long as Tim can get as many rings as possible...

On the other hand, I also welcome the idea that Lakers buy Kobe out and he joins the Spurs.

Kobe ended the elite portion of Duncan's career in 08', much like he sent MJ back in retirement in 03'. TD is like 99' Robinson/Ewing now.

They still allow lead paint in homes in cleveland?

I commend your attitude as a Laker fan realizing that Timmy is not done. However history shows that if Timmy is not done than the Spurs aren't either.

I'm confused - is that supposed to be stick in the eye of the the avg Spur fan or are you hoping it will be funnier each time you use it. Fact is the overrated lakers won last year in a diluted field of playoff teams because of the injuries and mostly average teams. But the real problem for the lakers this year will be that time bomb in the locker room that's currently ticking and waiting to derail their season ... tick, tick, tick

I don't get this thread. Duncan's game is based on skill, not physical ability. His being tall allowes him to work on moves without having to worry about outjumping opponents. He's got a lot left. San Antonio's problems lie in Ginobili who relies on physical ability and the decline of numerous role players. Their defense has been declining as of the last few years too, perhaps due to bowen slowing down and leaving.

They need to rebuild around parker and duncan.
