This is actually little bit too easy. If healthy the Lakers are going to hop scotch through Western Conference this year.

Can't wait. In reality I know the Spurs only have a certain chance to win the title. It's based on a ton of variables that I have no control over. What gives me comfort is the Lakers have a similar chance. Maybe even reduced because they won it last year. So you can be there for me all you want. Don't give me wrong. I could care less who the Lakers beat tonight.

At heart, I'm a basketball fan. The Lakers have 5 post options that can score. They move the ball beautifully. They can play slow and fast tempo. They play elite defense.

I cherish every second I watch this team play because I know it won't last forever. It's the way basketball is supposed to be played.

Good post. :clap

What do you mean? The Lakers always have trouble against this team...

Portland is not an elite playoff team until they prove otherwise, IMHO.

Compar-o time.

Nameless Player defensive numbers:

SF 37.5% 6.2reb/2.8ast/13.9pts 8.8 PER

PF 56.8% 11.7reb/2.3ast/21.8pts 22.8 PER

Nameless Player offensive numbers:

15.4pts/5.2reb/2.9ast on 48%

Come on Laker fans. Who do you think this is? I'll give you a hint. It's NOT Ariza.

Oh. Nothing. But hey if Dick sucks (giggle) then I guess Artest does too.

Like throw his shoe into the stands? I can't wait for them to play so I can see terrible shot selection as done by the master, Ron Artest.

Actually, he needs to improve his defensive game. Passing off double teams will come with time (TD wasn't that good when he started either).
The thing with defense is that he really needs to want to take pride on it and he has to do it night in and night out. He can be a good defender, since he raised his game when challenged. But he needs to find that consistency of doing it every game.

We just have to accept that its the Lakers year. the Spurs/Celtics are too old, the Magic's best player is Dwight Howard, Cavs roster outside of Lebron is far from championship material... the Mavs, our beloved Mavs, well we can give them hell, and will give them hell in the WCF, but ultimately we simply lack the personnel to knock off a team led by Kobe flanked by the enormous frontline of Bynum/Gasol/Odom.

Next year we'll see if the free agency hooplah can allow two superstars to allign and take down the juggernaut known as the Lakers. fi not, repeat... after that we'll see if a young team like the Thunder/Blazers can emerge and if age can catch up with the Lakers' core.

If Artest switched teams with nameless player, he'd be on a non-playoff team to. Was that your point?

A Duncan led team never missed the playoffs. Kobe on the other hand...

Except for one minor little detail you are leaving out in your flawed logic.

Dirk is the #1 go to franchise player on his team and Artest is the 4th or 5th option on the Lakers.

Wow your are an idiot , they are talking about Richard Jefferson, Dick is short for Richard, you seriously couldn't look at those numbers and figure out it wasn't Dirk,

so i guess you're the one that FAILED.

Kobe was out with an injury the majority of that year, and so was Odom if I remember correctly.

Statistically and mathematically speaking regarding odds you are probably right. But if your booking that the Lakers, with all that talent, won't repeat, what does that say about the Spurs?

Just curious....:rolleyes

My bad... misread it.

Why would I really care to look at the actual "numbers" of two players who are non contenders?

But again, my bad. I'll be a little more careful next time.

Lakers are not repeating.

Book it

We had incredible good luck last season. The injuries were minimal. Then we ran a gauntlet that was less than quality in the playoffs thru the Finals. The high point of good fortune being Mutombo & Yao going down, followed closely by Nelson going down. It's weird, usually when you do a bad thing like Colorado it's difficult for like God to grant upon you.

Anywho, finding that unobstructive path again this season seems incomprehensible.

Duncan has NEVER missed the playoffs? But ug he HAd would that change him being the greatest PF? Not IMHO ...but haters use that for fuel to critique Kobe. When it doesnt matter to me Robinson was in the lottery ...that is how you git duncan true he was hurt ...BUT we know the Spurs didnt mind tanking it worked out well!
