Great moment that was for us Celts fans. Too bad that was 2008. It is almost 2010 and the Lakers are at the top while the Celts have serious question marks if the window is shut or not.

bostonguy may be one of the most rational posters here that I respect.

Still have a long way to go, but the Celtics are plenty capable of giving the Lakers a run if they were to meet in the Finals again, but with a ton of basketball left to play, there may be other teams that are just as capable. They should really restrict Sheed's penchant for the 3 and somehow convince the team to do a better job at rebounding the boards.

The Lakers have to somehow get more productiong from the bench. Keep the core healthy and sharpen the defense and they'll be alright.

Very clear beatdown by the hands of Boston that night...I remember that night like it was a bittersweet day/night because I met my current gf that night and she was able to at least give me solace that there is always next year. Voila! She was right...she's almost always right.

True. Any Celtic homerism wouldn't bother me coming from him :tu

True.

KG holds the key to this being True or False. Rajon Rondo also has been sucking since his big contract.

It's almost repetitive with Rondo--if he only had an outside game, it would be pretty difficult to guard Boston. The age factor is going to play an even bigger role for the Celtics because I don't see KG ever being back to his post-knee self and the other two are having to put forth an effort that'll wear themselves out by the end of March. Still, that is a difficult team (as is Orlando) to figure out this year. But first things first; take care of the Western Conf. then worry about the East later.

It was lost, down 2-1, Game 4, up 23 third quarter, Game 5 yet to come in CA.. Kobe backed away from the table when the Celtics made their run. You can't do that in public. Boston took note and they've owned him & us since. They'd done did likewise to Magic in the Summer of '84. Magic was never the same again. He went on a 100 game grailed quest that culminated on the afternoon of June, 9, 1985 in MA., when he set us all, Lakerfandom free of the diseased simian who'd rode our back for decades.

Bryant may yet be set down into a similar circumstance. We'll see then if he can go on to the end via the path trod by our greatest Laker, Magic Johnson.
